Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this essay, We will talk about that if, building tall aprtment buildings is the most beneficial way of provinding homes, especially in crowded cities. I agree and disagree at the same time with the given statement.
First of all, this is a common issue when it comes to finding a place to rent or buy in big metropolitan cities. Building multiple blocks of apartments on top of each other is one of the best way to provide homes in such cities as it takes one piece of land to make multiple aparments for hundreds of people. It saves land for the government and make routine life much closer to basic necessities of the city life. Additionally, the modern buildings are designed gated communities which does not allow any non resident to inside premises but is only accessible for residents.
Furthermore, this type of infrascture has also became a headache for many people. Whenever an accident happens in on part of the building, It disturbs all of the residents at the same time. For example, When I was a university student pursuing my masters, I used to work as Steam Cleaner in extra time. One time, I was doing a job in an apartment building where one resident accidentally left a water tap open in toilet midnight. The water flooded into aparments downstairs and mnagement had to vacate the whole building in order to extract all the flooded carpets. For the next week all the resident life was disturbed.
To conclude, building skycrappers may be the most successfull way of providing homes but government needs to ensure extra check and balance about the safety and security aspects of a building before it's approval.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is partly clear: you support apartment blocks as an efficient way to use scarce land, while recognising safety and disruption concerns. The first body paragraph gives relevant reasons, including housing “hundreds of people” on one plot and proximity to city necessities. The flooding anecdote also illustrates how a problem in one unit can affect other residents. However, the response does not fully resolve the question of whether tall blocks are the best way to provide enough homes: the conclusion mainly calls for safety checks, rather than weighing this approach against alternatives or clarifying the extent of your agreement. Develop the counterargument and explain why the benefits do or do not outweigh the drawbacks.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall shape, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. “First of all,” “Furthermore” and “To conclude” make the main stages easy to follow, and the example is placed where it supports the discussion of drawbacks. This gives the response a coherent progression. To make the organisation more effective, ensure each paragraph advances the central argument rather than shifting to a related but narrower issue. The first paragraph moves from land efficiency to gated access, while the second focuses on one flooding incident; clearer links explaining how these points affect the overall case would strengthen cohesion. Also make the position in the introduction and conclusion consistent and explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “metropolitan cities,” “gated communities,” “residents,” “flooded” and “safety and security aspects.” These choices help communicate the subject, and the personal example is described with enough detail to be understood. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, such as “aprtment,” “provinding,” “infrascture,” “skycrappers” and “successfull.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, including “make routine life much closer to basic necessities” and “extra check and balance.” These issues limit the accuracy and flexibility of your vocabulary. Proofread spelling carefully and choose more natural collocations, such as “improve access to essential services” and “strict safety inspections.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause (“as it takes one piece of land…”) and a conditional-style example about an accident affecting residents. The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “one of the best way” needs a plural noun, “it takes” does not agree with the compound subject “Building multiple blocks,” and “has also became” uses the wrong verb form. There are also problems with articles, sentence boundaries and capitalisation, as in “In this essay, We” and “Whenever… It.” Aim for more consistent control of agreement, verb forms and punctuation, and check that each sentence has a complete, correctly connected structure.
