Student answer (Band 5.5)
The best way to provide enough space as per the number of family member were to not build a separate homes ut to build tall aparment block. In my opinion, it is the best way to occupied the space for other thing but there is also some drawback which we discuss in this eassy.
The advantages of a tall aparment building is that it can take the area as per requirment, but in separate homes evey home take their own area if there is only 2 person in the house and they build their house in 10 marla so they take lot of area which is occupied for more thing such as market and paly ground. Also it can major effect on the economy as if they build a house let suppose it rent is 50k and instead of constructing a house they build a tall apartment building around 10 floor and each floor have 4 apartment and each apartment rent is 35k so they can earn more money.
Now we looks on drawbacks of tall building, the first thing in my mind that is come noise pollution. As the building is constructed near to the markets and locals road. Other thing is that the people used lift to go their desired floor so by any chance if there is no electricity you can not used that lift. For example if their is medical emergency on the top floor of the building and you cannot use the lift by any chance, do then you go through all the stair to go down and take that person to hospitial.
In conclusion, there is advantages and disadvantages to build tall apartment blocks that it can easier the life much better as compared to live in house.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the topic by supporting apartment blocks and considering drawbacks, so the response is relevant. The space-saving point is illustrated with the contrast between a large individual house and land that could be used for markets or playgrounds; the rent example also attempts to explain the economic benefit. However, the position is not fully clear: the opening calls blocks the best option, while the conclusion mainly says they have advantages and disadvantages without stating how far you agree. The drawbacks focus on noise and lift failure, but the link between these points and whether blocks are the best way to provide homes is not fully explained. Develop fewer points more clearly and make your degree of agreement explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on advantages, one on drawbacks, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “Now we looks on drawbacks” help signal the shift in focus, and examples are placed near the points they illustrate. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in the long rent comparison, where the relationship between the figures and the claim about the economy needs clearer explanation. Linking is also repetitive and occasionally awkward, with “Other thing” and repeated use of “as.” The conclusion does not clearly resolve the argument introduced at the start. Use topic sentences and more precise links between each claim, explanation, and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “noise pollution,” “economy,” “medical emergency,” and “apartment building,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less clear. For example, “occupied for more thing” does not naturally express how land could be used, and “easier the life much better” is difficult to interpret. Spelling errors such as “aparment,” “requirment,” and “hospitial” are also noticeable. Aim to use precise phrases for urban planning and housing, and check spelling and common word combinations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional examples such as “if there is only 2 person in the house” and “if there is no electricity.” These attempts show some range, but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently, sometimes making the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “The advantages … is,” “each floor have 4 apartment,” and “you can not used that lift,” where agreement or verb forms are incorrect. Articles, plurals, and sentence construction also need attention, as in “a separate homes.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control the verb forms and agreement.
