Student answer (Band 6.0)

Human is social creature with deep need of permanent habitat. In modern society theirs is lack of homes for individuals in big cities.Every one want to live in large towns .So , some group of people suggested making sky towers is best solution to provide living place for people.I strongly agreee with given phenomenon , my supporting reason will be discussed in the fourthcoming peragraph.

To commence with primary reason why tall building can assist to provide living space is , they required minimus land. In other words tall buildings can be manufactured in less land and their multistories can give space for more apartments.Insted of giving one large area of land to 4 or 5 familes for their houses . That space can be used to give home to 30 - 40 families by making sky towers their. For instance , Sunshine tower of Mohali have replaced 10 huses of familes and now 40 familes are living in that tower.

Ferthermore, tall buildings assit to maintain energy source . To illustrate more , thses buildings are made to target and work with modern techniques . Most of these buildings use solar power to supply electricity into apartments . Because of the hieghts of these buildings , it is easy for them to catch sunlight on their rooftop. Companies set solarplant on their rooftops which produce energy and play vital role to save other energy souces of environment. For exmaple , an article published in 'The Tribune' in 2016 stated that sky towers save 60 % of energy source on earth in 1 year.

To conclude , beacuse tall buildings provide more living space by using fixed par of land and use solar pennals most of them to genrate electricity .Thats why i agree with the ideology of saying that this best solution to provice enough homes in large cities to build tall apartment blocks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that tall apartment blocks can help provide homes, and the conclusion returns to this view. You give two relevant reasons—using less land for more households and generating electricity through rooftop solar panels—and support them with examples. This addresses the task, but the development is uneven: the land-use point is explained more directly, while the energy argument does not fully show how solar power makes apartment blocks the best way to provide enough homes. The examples, including the Sunshine Tower and the newspaper claim, would be more persuasive if their relevance and details were explained. To strengthen the response, develop the housing argument further and acknowledge a limitation or alternative, such as the need for transport and services around high-rise buildings.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from land efficiency to energy use is logical, and signposts such as “To commence with,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the main stages. However, some linking is mechanical, and several sentences do not connect smoothly. For example, “Insted of giving one large area of land…” is a fragment rather than a complete continuation, while “For instance” introduces an example whose relationship to the preceding comparison could be clearer. The conclusion also repeats the main points without adding a concise synthesis. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports; clearer sentence boundaries and reference would make the overall progression more fluent.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “permanent habitat,” “multistories,” “solar power,” and “rooftops,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and many noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “sky towers,” “minimus land,” “energy source,” and “solar pennals.” Some expressions are also unnatural or unclear, including “maintain energy source” and “fixed par of land.” These issues make parts of the argument harder to read, particularly in the second body paragraph. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than using ambitious phrases without checking them. Building a reliable set of terms such as “high-rise apartment blocks,” “limited land,” and “renewable energy” would make your ideas clearer and more appropriate to the topic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including “Because of the hieghts of these buildings, it is easy for them to catch sunlight on their rooftop.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur throughout. For example, “Human is social creature” needs articles, while “Sunshine tower of Mohali have replaced” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening also contains run-on punctuation: “habitat. In modern society…” Several sentences are fragments or have incomplete grammatical relationships, such as “Insted of giving one large area of land…” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. Practise accurate complex sentences and check each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and complete clause.
