Student answer (Band 4.5)
In this modern era every other developed country is more focused on constructing tall buildings the concept of houses are almost vansih. even in under developed progressing countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh the concept of flats and huge buildigs is highly adapted people are more interested in making or even living in flats in cities specially.
Small houses have more privacy and ownership or control. people have more personal space in houses but houses cover more places sometimes in acres even after small families consisting only two to four people are owning big homes. we live in a flat it has two rooms two bathrooms one tv loungh and a kitchen we are 5 people to live in that apartment and the space is enough for us me my sister and mother shares a room and my both brothers share a room. but i yearn for a personal cause it provide more peronal space before moving to this apartment we use to live in house it was all belong to us it we can use the roof we can do whatever we want to but in buildings we are restricted of doing many things we have to share roof with other apartment neighbours of a building this is one of the major drawback of big buildings.
on the other hand tall buildings are more dangerous in terms of natural desasters such as earthquake in homes may damage can be equal
but in tall buildings there are high possibilty of no survival.
Although upcoming word only contain buildings only and people would definitely be

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the topic by discussing the space-saving benefits of flats alongside the privacy and safety concerns of apartment living. Your personal example—five family members sharing a two-bedroom apartment—helps illustrate the issue, and you indicate reservations about tall buildings. However, the response does not clearly answer how far you agree with the statement, and the final sentence, “people would definitely be,” is unfinished. The discussion also gives limited attention to whether tall blocks are the best way to provide enough homes, rather than simply describing differences between houses and flats. State your position directly in the introduction and conclusion, then develop a few relevant reasons with clear explanations or examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you introduce the trend towards flats, discuss personal space, and then raise earthquake risks. The contrast marker “on the other hand” signals a change in direction. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the second paragraph combines several points and a long personal account without clear internal organisation. The earthquake point is brief and incomplete, while the ending does not provide a finished conclusion. Some links between ideas are also unclear, such as the move from houses taking up more land to your family’s living arrangements. Use separate paragraphs for each main reason, connect each example explicitly to your argument, and finish with a concise conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “privacy,” “personal space,” “restricted,” and “natural disasters,” and these choices help communicate your concerns about apartment living. There is also an attempt to express comparison through phrases such as “on the other hand.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the message less clear, including “the concept of houses are almost vansih,” “highly adapted,” and “yearn for a personal.” Some expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “the concept of flats” and “high possibilty of no survival.” Build a more accurate range for housing and urban planning, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence describing your family’s apartment and a contrast introduced by “Although.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. For example, “the concept of houses are” has subject–verb disagreement, while “me my sister and mother shares a room” has an incorrect subject and verb form. The sentence beginning “we use to live in house” also contains problems with tense and articles, and several sentences run together without reliable punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences around one main idea, checking agreement, articles, and verb forms, and use full stops to separate complete thoughts.
