Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is an incontrovertable reality in this contemporary era that the beneficial way to deliver enough houses in large cities is to construct skyhigh apartment blocks.According to my perespective,it is a great way to gather the individuals together.

At the outset,I argue on some benefits of this trend.Frist and foremost,if individuals live in the tall apartment they collaberate with each other and know more about different traditions and culture which masses adopt from different civilization.Secondly, when folks live in the tall apartments they support others people as their own family and always assist them in every obstacle of life. Also, when people live together in tall apartments blocks they know the meaning of life and know more about that how to survive in crowded places and how behave with others people.

On the flip side,i talked about the negative side of this trend.Firstly, when people live in the tall apartments sometime they irritate from the work of other people which does not suit to their personality like musicwork.Sometimes people do something imporatant so they distract from the other people.Additionally, sometime numerous chores are personnel and private to be shared freely so this is the major cros of this trend.

In the light of above arguments,i firmly believe that tall apartsment are very important for the individuals because when people live in the tall buildings from diverse cultures and diverse city people will be able to know more about the other tradition.Although,it shower some negative impact on the daily life of masses.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall preference for tall apartment blocks, especially in the opening and conclusion, and you include both benefits and drawbacks. However, the response only partly answers the central question of whether this is the best way to provide enough homes. Most of the supporting points concern social interaction, cultural exchange and privacy, rather than housing capacity, affordability, or alternatives such as renovating existing buildings. The drawbacks are also briefly stated and do not lead to a balanced judgement. The response is three words below the required minimum. To strengthen the answer, explain how high-rise construction increases the number of homes on limited urban land, support this with a relevant example, and clarify why its advantages outweigh the disadvantages or acknowledge other effective approaches.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “At the outset,” “Secondly,” and “On the flip side” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited because several points repeat the idea that residents learn about others or support one another, without showing how each point develops the argument about housing supply. Some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion repeats cultural exchange rather than drawing together the main reasoning. Improve cohesion by giving each paragraph one clear purpose, using references such as “this benefit” precisely, and linking each example directly to your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related and formal expressions, including “contemporary era,” “diverse cultures,” and “negative impact.” This shows an effort to move beyond very basic vocabulary. However, inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “incontrovertable,” “perespective,” “collaberate,” and “cros” appear to be intended as “incontrovertible,” “perspective,” “collaborate,” and “cost.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “gather the individuals together” and “irritate from the work of other people.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and use precise housing vocabulary, for example “accommodate more residents,” “housing demand,” and “limited urban land.” Proofreading spelling would make your meaning clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including conditional clauses beginning “if” and “when,” and the contrastive structure “Although it shower some negative impact…”. However, complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “they support others people” has an incorrect determiner, while “tall apartments sometime they irritate” has an unclear subject and clause structure. Several sentences run together after full stops, as in the opening, and punctuation spacing is inconsistent. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas with accurate subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and plural forms during editing.
