Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, whether big cities to build high apartment blocks is the optimal way to accomodate houses for individuals has been a subject of major discussion. I agree with the assertion because apartment don't require huge geographic space and builds community among people. This essay will discuss these key factors in detail.
To begin with, one of the most compelling reasons to support this opinion is that apartment take less area of ground for accomodate huge population. This is mainly because apartment is build with on levels that have homes. This makes apartment takes less space to provide homes for more population. A clear example of this can be seen in the Tokyo city with over croweded the tall apartments help to accomodate homes to people compared to individual housing. As a result, this not only takes less space but also helps to use geographical area effectively.
In addition to that, another equally important is that apartment builds community in society. Moreover, it is a well known fact that apartment groups diverse people to one place make them to stay neighbours. This, in turn, encourge people to understand each others, which signficantly contribute to better society. For instance, In hyderabad the people from different part of the nation live in apartments closely and celebrate festival irrespective of theur demographic.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that tall apartment blocks are best way to accomodate homes in large cities. This is because it offers a wide range of advantages including saving geographical area and community among people. Therefore, implementing this idea effectively , it can undoubtely better option in huge populated cities and create a better society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you agree that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes in large cities. Both supporting points are relevant—the efficient use of land and the potential to bring residents together—and the Tokyo and Hyderabad examples help connect them to real settings. However, the first point is explained mainly through repeated claims that apartments use less space, while the community argument needs a clearer link to how this helps address the housing problem. The examples are also asserted rather than developed with specific detail. To strengthen the response, explain the mechanisms and consequences of each benefit, and acknowledge a limitation or alternative before showing why your position remains convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “In addition to that,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. This coherent arrangement meets the lower-band expectations, and there is some movement towards more flexible organisation. However, several links feel mechanical, and “Moreover” does not clearly add a distinct step to the community argument. References such as “This” and “it” are sometimes vague, particularly in the final paragraph. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each claim, explanation, and example explicit; this would make cohesion more natural and precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “geographical area,” “diverse people,” “demographic,” and “population,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. There are also attempts to express ideas beyond basic everyday language. However, the range is limited by repeated use of “apartment,” “people,” and “better,” while several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “accomodate houses,” “apartment groups diverse people,” and “over croweded.” Spelling errors, including “encourge,” “signficantly,” and “undoubtely,” are noticeable and reduce control. Build a more precise set of housing and urban-planning expressions, and check spelling and collocations so that your vocabulary communicates ideas smoothly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect structures such as “This is mainly because…” and “which significantly contribute…”. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, and the paragraphs show an effort to connect clauses. However, control is inconsistent: errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur in examples such as “apartment don't require,” “apartment is build,” and “This makes apartment takes less space.” The final sentence, “Therefore, implementing this idea effectively, it can…,” also has a faulty structure. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and subordinate clauses, then proofread each sentence for agreement and a complete grammatical structure. More reliable control would make your ideas easier to follow.
