Student answer (Band 5.0)
The most efficient way to give enough homes in giant cities is to build tall apartment blocks. This essay will explain briefly the idea and in the last I give my own point of view.
Now the population in the countries rises day by day and death rate is low. And with the increases of population their basic need also increses day by day such as foods, clothes and houses. In this essay we will provide a way to overcome the housing facilities problems. There are lot of ways to build homes for this population. First of all, government should make laws to control the increases population so the need of homes decline. The best way to solve that housing problems in large cities with the help of government. Firstly, we need large area if we build the one family home, this will need more land. Only single family live in that place as compared to tall buildings.
If engineers construct tall buildings in place of colonies, the more homes will provide to people in large cities. It has some problems to low level house that sunlight not recieve to there houses properly and the shadow of tall buildings disturb the peace of other people. But, there are lot of benefits that to construct tall buildings that everyone enjoy their own home and it may be cheaper to land to single house. Moreover, tall buildings require small area with strong base. Further, forest trees cut for the new houses and it pollutes the environment if we construct tall buildings more people takes their home and trees will also protect.
In sum of all, I totally agree with that statement of building tall apartment blocks it has some problems but mostly it conquer the home problems. The problem of low level houses solve that tall apartment build away from low levels houses that they will also enjoy their lifestyle.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You state a clear overall position in the conclusion: “I totally agree” with building tall apartment blocks, and you give relevant reasons, including using less land and accommodating more people. However, the response only partially develops the task. The opening says the essay will explain the idea and give your view, but the main discussion is not consistently focused on whether tall blocks are the best solution. For example, the suggestion that governments should control population growth is not explained as a practical response to the housing question. The points about sunlight, shadows and trees are relevant but unclear or briefly supported. To strengthen the response, explain each main reason with a specific example and address why this approach is preferable to alternatives.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can identify the main position. You also use basic signposting such as “First of all,” “Moreover” and “In sum of all.” However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because ideas shift abruptly: population growth leads to government laws, then to land use, and later to environmental effects without clear links. Some connectors are inaccurate or repetitive, and references such as “that housing problems” and “there” make it hard to identify exactly what is meant. Organise the body around two or three clear reasons, with each paragraph developing one point, and use linking phrases only where they show a genuine relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “population,” “housing facilities,” “tall buildings,” “sunlight” and “environment,” so the subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning unclear. Examples include “giant cities,” “the increases population,” “low level house” and “it may be cheaper to land to single house.” There are also spelling errors such as “increses” and “recieve.” Aim for more precise housing and urban-planning vocabulary, and check whether words naturally combine in English. Replacing vague or incorrect phrases with expressions such as “rapidly growing urban population” and “land-efficient housing” would make your argument clearer and more formal.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses beginning with “if” and “that,” but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently. For example, “Now the population in the countries rises day by day and death rate is low” has problems with articles and sentence construction, while “If engineers construct tall buildings … the more homes will provide” has an incomplete passive structure. Agreement and verb forms are also inconsistent, as in “their basic need also increses” and “everyone enjoy.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses; check articles, subject–verb agreement and verb forms before combining ideas.
