Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is argue that the best method is build tall apartment blocks which can provides enough living space in big cities.I completely agree with this statement though tall building can have some drawback like infrastructure reliability due to natural disasters but it play huge role to ensure individuals homes in large city like Dhaka.

There are number of reasons why i believe that, tall building can tackle the slum and people who do not have enough space to build there house or living space. To cites this like in a city now a day it is hard to find out a open space for build a house or new thing and the demand is to high in a big city, so for this engineer made a solution for this in a small space now people can about 100 plus people by building a tall building because the tall building are higher enough and each floor are given to each family . that how now people can now live in a city . Furthermore Without tall building about 40 square meter one family can only live but proving tall building now there about 10 or more family can live.

In additions, in a taller building it is quite easy for the the individuals that they can live with out any problem , though the price of those flat or taller building are not so expensive and reliable for common people . Moreover it has also solve the homeless people home problems.

In conclusion, considering those thing i strongly believe that building tall apartment blocks can proves enough homes and some case this is essential role.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you state, “I completely agree,” and return to this view in the conclusion. You also give relevant reasons, including limited space in large cities and the capacity of apartment buildings to house many families. However, the response only partly develops the argument. The example about “100 plus people” and “10 or more family” is difficult to assess because it is not explained or supported, and the point about affordability is asserted rather than demonstrated. You briefly mention disaster-related infrastructure as a drawback, but do not explain how it affects your overall view. Develop fewer points more fully, with a specific example and a clearer explanation of why high-rise housing is the best solution.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and its main position is generally easy to identify. Basic linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “In additions,” and “In conclusion” help signal stages in the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from slums and lack of space to engineers, building capacity and floor allocation without clearly connecting each point. Some linking phrases are inaccurate or repetitive, and references such as “those thing” do not clearly identify the ideas being summarised. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it in a logical sequence. Use linking devices selectively and make references to earlier points precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “infrastructure,” “natural disasters,” “demand” and “homeless people.” This gives you a basic range for discussing urban housing. However, vocabulary is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the intended meaning harder to follow. For example, “tackle the slum” and “ensure individuals homes” are not natural expressions, while “proving tall building” appears to mean providing high-rise housing. There are also spelling and word-form errors, such as “cites” for “cite” and “additions” for “addition.” Build a more precise set of phrases for housing and urban development, and check spelling and collocations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a concession with “though” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty, so the reader sometimes has to work to understand the relationships between ideas. Examples include “It is argue,” “which can provides,” and “the tall building are,” where verb forms or subject–verb agreement are incorrect. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “a open space” and the run-on opening sentence. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly controlled subordinate clause. Then check verb agreement, articles and punctuation, especially in longer sentences.
