Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You give a clear opinion that building tall apartment blocks is a good solution, and you mention relevant benefits such as security and convenience. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: it does not explain how high-rise construction would provide enough homes, compare it with other approaches, or develop the stated benefits with reasons or examples. The ideas remain brief assertions, and the response ends without a developed conclusion. It is also substantially below the required 250 words, which limits how fully you can answer the question. To improve, explain your position in detail, support each main point with an example, and consider a counterargument such as the effects of overcrowding or limited green space.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic progression: it introduces a housing shortage and then states your view about apartment blocks. The opening contrast, “But,” signals a move to your opinion, and “As” attempts to introduce a reason. However, the ideas are not developed into a clear sequence of paragraphs, and the final sentence combines several benefits without showing how they connect to the main claim. The reference in “these problem” is also unclear, while the response has no concluding statement. Organise the essay into an introduction, separate body paragraphs for distinct reasons, and a conclusion. Use linking expressions to show relationships between developed ideas rather than relying on a few short transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “population,” “apartment blocks,” “security,” and “convenience,” so the general subject is understandable. However, the range is narrow and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear or natural: “contampraroy socity,” “scarcism,” “builting,” “appartments,” and “fecilities.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “a good decision” and “many other facilities.” Build a more accurate set of housing-related terms and check spelling carefully. For example, you could refer to “housing shortages,” “high-rise developments,” “residential buildings,” and “access to essential services,” using each phrase in a clear, relevant sentence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both a simple statement and a longer sentence beginning “As,” showing some effort to connect ideas. However, grammatical control is uneven, and the limited range makes it difficult to express and develop your reasoning. For example, “there are scarcism of houses” has an incorrect sentence pattern, while “it will provides them” uses an incorrect verb form. “As by builting tall apartments it would be a good solution of these problem” is also structurally incomplete and has unclear agreement and reference. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and singular or plural forms. Then add a variety of accurate complex sentences to explain causes, benefits, and examples.
