Student answer (Band 5.5)
In modern world, building tall apartment blocks is the better way to provide plenty of home in huge urban areas. I am wholeheartedly agree with this statements, owing to fact that they required a minuscule area compared to build single house on the floor. in this essay i will explain my stance with the help of examples.
To commence with, the building of huge apartment blocks is more beneficial in large cities. This is due to fact that, in sabstantial urban areas there are no such place or location for constructing of new building such as home. In contras, contructing apartment block acquired low level of floor. In addition you can construct plenty of apartments over the ground floor. Furthermore, in enoromus apartment will have minimum 20 blocks, which assits the overall 20 families at a time instead of one house on the floor. Moreover living in apartment feels you very comfartable comapred to in single house. Additionally rent of apartment in large cities is affordable. For instance, during my studies i was living in urban area, the cost of the house varied. I suggested apartment block over house, because of expenditure. Therefore construction of tall apartment blocks has more pros in a huge large cities.
On the other hand, constructing the tall building has several cons regarding to individuals, this is due to the fact that, during earthquake the tall buiding may lead to deminish due to using of low level of ingredients like cements, bricks, by which numerous people can be lead to death due to falling of building. Furthermore it may lead to trafic congestion as well. Therefore for costruction of tall building we should be aware of such stuffs.
In conclusion, the stunnig way of providing significant amount of homes is constructing the highest apartment blocks. From my perspective, i am strongly agree with this statments, because of it has more advantageous stuff than its drawbacks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you strongly support tall apartment blocks. You address the main issue by explaining that they use less land and can house many families, and you include a personal example about choosing an apartment because of cost. You also acknowledge drawbacks, such as earthquake risk and traffic congestion, so the response considers more than one perspective. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that apartment living is more comfortable is not supported, and the earthquake point is not connected to how it affects whether this is the best way to provide homes. Develop these ideas with clearer reasoning and relevant examples, and explain why the benefits outweigh the risks.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a main paragraph supporting your view, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. The progression from limited urban land to the number of families accommodated is generally easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “On the other hand.” At times, however, these transitions feel mechanical or do not show a clear relationship between ideas; “Moreover living in apartment feels you very comfortable” shifts away from the land-use argument without a developed link. Some references, such as “such stuffs,” are vague. Group related points more clearly, use fewer formulaic connectors, and make each paragraph’s central argument explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “urban areas,” “construction,” “earthquake,” and “traffic congestion,” and you use some variation when discussing advantages and disadvantages. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: examples include “sabstantial,” “contras,” “enoromus,” and “stunnig.” Several phrases are also unnatural, such as “acquired low level of floor” and “the cost of the house varied.” Build accuracy with common collocations for housing and urban planning, such as “limited land,” “high-rise apartments,” and “accommodate families.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise, natural phrases will make your ideas clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “which,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur across the response. For example, “I am wholeheartedly agree” should be “I wholeheartedly agree,” while “they required” needs a present-tense form such as “they require.” In “there are no such place,” the noun should be plural, and “I am strongly agree” repeats the same verb-pattern error. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly at sentence beginnings. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences while checking subject–verb agreement and clause boundaries.
