Student answer (Band 5.5)
I agree, with the prominent way to arrange enough homes in metropolitan cities is to construct a skyscraper with division of blocks.
my suggestion, for example that in large cities like newyork in states and mumbai in india consists population more than millions so i believe personally that building an apartment is the best methodology of construction and for living rather than building individual houses.Because building individual houses may occupy a lot of area in land which results in decresing the density of living area population per each square meter, also results in maximising the cost of land in the city this leads to scarcity and demand for the land.
The capital cities like them contains more magestrical offices and public serving sectors like Hospitals,Schools,Colleges, banking and financial sectors, parks and tourst spots will have to be prioratise, this helps in developing the city.
On developing the apartments instead of individual houses helps in saving in the protection for land area in raise of demand and priceses, also we may see the most the building are constructed more 20 floors they has follow a rules and regulations of the construction limit on keeping in mind of public saftey, this also build the nature of communities also where builidings have to maintain the good maintanance and have to restrict the maximum altitude level of builing, civil engineers palys a vital role on developing the great constructions in the cities.
Conclusion ,the apartment blocks metholody is the best way to construct homes particularly in cities i will strongly support them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly support apartment blocks as a way to provide homes in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including limited land, rising land costs, and the need to reserve space for services such as hospitals and schools. However, the response only partly develops the task: the points about safety regulations, community life, and engineers are introduced but not explained with specific examples or clear links to housing supply. The New York and Mumbai reference is also general rather than evidence for your argument. The response is one word below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. Develop fewer reasons more fully and explain how each supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation: you state your view first, give supporting points in separate paragraphs, and finish with a conclusion that repeats your position. The reader can generally follow the main argument about land use and apartment construction. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and several ideas are joined into long, loosely connected sentences. For example, the paragraph beginning “On developing the apartments” moves from saving land to construction rules, community life, maintenance, height limits, and engineers without showing how these points connect. Linking phrases such as “also” and “this” are repetitive or have unclear references. Use one main idea per paragraph, explain it in a logical sequence, and make references explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “metropolitan cities,” “density,” “scarcity,” and “public safety,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “building,” “city,” and “construction,” while several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or difficult to understand. Examples include “division of blocks,” “magestrical offices,” “protection for land area,” and “the best methodology of construction.” Spelling errors such as “decresing,” “prioratise,” and “maintanance” also reduce clarity. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe “high-rise apartment buildings” and explain that they “use land more efficiently.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain causes, such as the sentence linking individual houses with land use and cost. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms can make the argument difficult to follow. For example, “The capital cities like them contains” has an unclear construction and incorrect agreement, while “they has follow a rules” combines incorrect verb forms and article use. The opening also joins “I agree” to the next clause with a comma, and several sentences run on without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
