Student answer (Band 5.0)
A number of people argued that many people in large city, they could not get a apartment because there's buildings are too sort. So,they believe that tall buidings are completely solve this problem. I strongly believe that tall buidings are completely remove their residential problems.
Fist of all, I believe tall buidings can solve peoples accommodatinal problem because tall buidings have lot of aparment blocks. Since tall buildings have many apartments, people can live comfortably. For example in Dhaka many peoples are survive their accommodation promlem because a lot of people lives here. So, if Government can build some tall buidings in their many peoples can solves their residential problem.
Secondly, Many are thinks, when people build tall buidings in town, this leads to many difficulties, such as the fear of earthquakes. But I believe if you can remove peoples accommodation problem, we should provide enough home in large cities to make large buildings.
However, some people claim that when peoples build large and tall buildings, it is create some problems such as theres Oxygen level is down because most of trees has been cut down. But I strongly believe tall buidings is one of the best solution for peoples accommodation problem. Therefore, we have no other option but to solve this problem.
In conclusion, although tall buildings has lot of problems but it is a best solution for peoples problems.By contracting tall buildings, the housing problem of people can be solve in this problem. So, constructing tall buidings are best way to provide enough home.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you strongly support tall apartment buildings as a way to address housing shortages, and you give relevant points about apartment capacity and possible concerns such as earthquakes and reduced oxygen levels. However, the response only partially develops the task. The main supporting example, Dhaka, is difficult to follow and does not explain how tall buildings have improved access to housing. The opposing points are mentioned but not examined or answered in detail; for instance, you acknowledge earthquake risks without explaining how they might be managed or weighed against the benefits. To strengthen the response, develop two clear reasons with specific explanation and examples, and make your comparison of advantages and disadvantages more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are repeated rather than developed: the claim that tall buildings solve accommodation problems appears in the introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion with little added reasoning. Connections between points can also be confusing, particularly the shift from earthquake concerns to the need to build large buildings. Use each paragraph to develop one distinct point, explain how it supports your position, and use referencing and linking phrases more precisely to show the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “accommodation problem,” “earthquakes,” and “oxygen level,” so the reader can identify the subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and key phrases are repeated frequently, especially “tall buildings” and “people’s accommodation problem.” Several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “buidings,” “accommodatinal,” “promlem,” and “contracting tall buildings.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “many peoples are survive” and “their residential problems.” Build a more accurate set of housing-related phrases and check spelling and collocations. Using alternatives such as “high-rise apartments,” “housing shortage,” and “provide accommodation” would make the argument clearer and less repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if Government can build some tall buidings…” and a concession beginning “although tall buildings…”. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “many people in large city, they could not get a apartment” has an unclear structure and incorrect article and number; “many peoples are survive” uses an incorrect verb form; and “tall buildings has lot of problems” has agreement and article errors. Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and checking singular and plural nouns. Aim for clear, controlled sentences before adding more complex clauses.
