Student answer (Band 5.5)
In modern society, problem of provide houses to people become hard action, and some individuals think thaht the best action to do build tall apatment blocks that provide enough homes. I all agree with this view and i think their are not better soloution then this.
Firstly, tall apartment blocks provide a lot and enough home for residents with not take a large space for exemple if you we took habitants from Favela in Brazil that live in seperate poor homes and replace it to them with large apartment blocks, we can win big large of empty area and with homes for residents.
Futthermore, in some ways tall apartment blocks give some wonderful view also , like we see in Dubai with large bulding like tower of Khalifa and others tall apartment became intreast distination to tourist.
However, some individuals do not encorage this soloution, as not all people went to live with other habitants especially in the same blocks or apartment and they adore to live all thier life far from them and alone just with their familly, I can accept that, as tall apartment blocks can provide some problems like noses and overpopulation in the same area.
Nevertheless, last point are not right and tall apartment blocks give us all facilities in the same place and with not worry, it can be find in blocks parks for children and young age, resterents, caffe plus big mall in the same roots usally.
To conclude, The best way to provide enough homes in large cities is absolutlly tall apartment blocks. Although thier is other soloution like build seperate houses or a many small apartment, I believe that last soloutions not compaire with tall apartment blocks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear, consistent opinion that tall apartment blocks are the best solution, and you address both their advantages and a counterargument. The points about using less land and providing shared facilities are relevant; the Brazil example also begins to illustrate how denser housing could free space. However, several claims are asserted rather than explained. The Dubai tourism point, for instance, does not clearly show how attractive buildings help provide enough homes, and the facilities paragraph lists amenities without explaining their effect on housing supply. The concerns about noise and residents’ preferences are acknowledged, but your response to them is brief. Develop the most relevant reasons with clearer explanation and examples to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, supporting points, a counterargument, a further supporting point and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore,” “However” and “Nevertheless” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression between ideas is sometimes unclear or mechanical. The Dubai example shifts from housing provision to tourism without a clear connection, while “Nevertheless, last point are not right” does not explain how the facilities answer the concerns about noise and privacy. Some sentences also contain several ideas joined together, making relationships harder to follow. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, explain how it supports your position, and use clearer references when responding to the opposing view.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “residents,” “overpopulation,” “facilities” and “solution,” and you try to express ideas about density, privacy and amenities. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “apatment,” “soloution,” “intreast distination” and “noses.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “win big large of empty area” and “same roots.” Repetition of “tall apartment blocks” and “provide” further limits flexibility. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations; for example, describe buildings as “high-rise apartments” and say they “free up land” rather than “win” an area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, including a concession beginning “Although” and a contrast introduced by “However.” Nevertheless, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns as well as in longer attempts. Examples include “problem of provide houses … become hard action,” “I all agree,” and “their is not better solution”; these show problems with articles, verb forms, agreement and sentence construction. In “with not take a large space,” the verb pattern is also faulty. Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, particularly in the opening and conclusion. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and verb forms first, then build longer sentences from those reliable structures and proofread each sentence for agreement and articles.
