Student answer (Band 5.0)
House is a basic need for any human. In this regard, it is commonly observed that it is a good way to make a large nuber of hoomes in developed cities to build tall apartment block. I agree with this opinon beacuse it save a money, interaction between people become stronger and beneficial for goverment.
Firstly, when big houses has changed into tall short buildings then people save their money because the rent of apartement less than a big house. Apartement is very useful for short family. For example, In my country many individuals have not his own house. They live in a rental places. In this way, they feel comfartable in apartement and spend a whole life in short apartement beacuse in my country people receive less salary and they face a financial difficulties in life. They cannot save their money to buying a new house.
Moreover, when people live in small buildings. They meet eachother everyday. In this way, they laerned a lot of things and help the neighbours when they have need however in cities or houses live far to each other. where when any person are in danger . Then the citizen of city not heared his voice due to long distance. In addition, when goernment changed large houses to apartement. In tgis way, they can save a valuable land of country. They can make shopping malls, hospitals and schools on this land. These departements play a vital role in the progress of any country. For instance, china government build a large apartement for the people. They can use their land for farming and grow vegetables and fruits in that land. As areult, due to this production of these crops they earned a good profit everyyear.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks can help provide homes, and you give relevant reasons involving affordability, neighbourly support and more efficient land use. The examples about people on low salaries and using land for schools, hospitals or farming help connect your points to the topic. However, the reasons are only partly developed. For instance, the claim that apartment rents are lower than house rents is asserted rather than explained, and the China example does not clearly show how tall blocks themselves enable farming or increase crop profits. The conclusion, “In conclusion, it can be summarized,” is unfinished, so it does not restate your view or bring the argument together. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and complete the ending.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and an attempted conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Moreover” and “In addition” show how you intend to organise the points. However, progression within the body paragraphs is not always clear: the discussion moves from neighbourly help to government land use and then to farming without explaining the links between these ideas. Some connections are also difficult to follow, as in “where when any person are in danger.” Paragraph breaks and punctuation are inconsistent, and the final sentence is incomplete, leaving the essay without a clear overall ending. Give each paragraph one main focus, use linking phrases only where the relationship is clear, and make references such as “they” and “this land” unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “rental,” “neighbours,” “valuable land,” “shopping malls” and “progress,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “people,” “land” and “in this way.” Frequent spelling errors, including “nuber,” “apartement” and “goernment,” are noticeable, while inaccurate word choices such as “tall short buildings” and “short family” can make the intended meaning unclear. Some combinations are also unnatural, for example “save a valuable land” and “spend a whole life in short apartement.” Build a more precise set of housing and urban-planning terms, check spelling carefully, and learn common word combinations rather than translating phrases directly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when” and “however.” These attempts show some range, but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the argument difficult to follow. Examples include “when big houses has changed,” “the rent of apartement less,” and “they cannot save their money to buying,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement and sentence patterns. There are also missing or misplaced sentence boundaries, as in “They meet eachother everyday. In this way,” and “In addition, when goernment changed large houses to apartement.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses, checking subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation.
