Student answer (Band 7.0)

The plans illustrate the before and after of a college cafe after it was redesigned.

Overall, the cafe underwent a major redesign. New outdoor seatings were added and new amenities were introduced like barbecue, salad bar, coffee bar and take away food. While the toilets, kitchen, tables and chairs remained unchanged.

In the top left kitchen area, the serving area was replaced with new hot meals section and in the main hall at the left side a new salad bar was introduced and a new door was added at south west side of the main hall. In the center staff dining rooms were replaced with new shops like take away food and coffee bar.

At the eastern side of the hall a single bin was swaped with new recycling bins near the toilets, which remained unchanged throughout this redesign. Furthermore, new outdoor seatings were added at south side of the cafe with a new barbecue at south west end. This new section is connected to the remaining cafe by two new doors near toilets and baebecue.
