Student answer (Band 7.0)

The schematic plans compares the changes of cafe before and after the redesign.

Overall, it is apparent that the staff dining rooms experienced significant development and there have been new barbecue introduced at the side of cafe with several outdoor seating.

To begin with, in the past the serving area served all tyoes of food and drink but now it is transformed into only hot meals. The staff dining rooms underwent major change and has been completely replaced by two services which is take away food and coffee bar. There have been new salad bar established close to entrance of kitchen. The bin is now converted into recycling bins with increased area.

On the other hand, the proportion of tables and chairs remained unchnaged. Furthermore, the toilets went through no remarkable transformation, whereas new barbecue put in place at south entrance and exit of cafe with considerable number of outdoor seating arrangement.
