The illustrations depict the the current map of college cafe and how it looks before. Overall, several changes has been taken place, among those, a barbecue set-up and outdoor seating are the major.

Before redesigning, staff dining rooms were located beside the central tables and chairs, that has been replaced with the take away food and coffee bar. Additionally, the serving area for the food and drinks, located in front of the kitchen, is redesigned to built an area for hot meals. Post-redesigning, a salad bar has been developed outside the kitchen. Finally, the area outside the college cafe, has been designed in a barbecue spot, along with outdoor seating arrangement has been made. However, few things remain unchanged, including location of toilets, kitchen, and furniture placed at the center of the cafe. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the cafe redesign, including the new additions like the barbecue area and the changes to the serving counters. You also correctly noted the features that remained unchanged. However, the overview is slightly thin; it could be improved by more clearly contrasting the 'before' and 'after' states in a more analytical way. While you covered the key points, the description of the layout changes is a bit mechanical. To reach a higher band, ensure your summary highlights the most significant transformations rather than just listing them sequentially. Overall, you have addressed the requirements of the task well.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

Your essay is logically organized, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding summary of unchanged features. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Finally', and 'However' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit repetitive or slightly forced. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between the description of the serving area and the salad bar could be more integrated. Ensure that your use of cohesive devices serves to connect ideas naturally rather than just acting as signposts at the start of every sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to describe the changes, such as 'redesigned', 'developed', and 'arrangement'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'several changes has been taken place' (should be 'have taken place') and 'designed in a barbecue spot' (should be 'designed as a barbecue spot'). You also use 'the the' in the first sentence, which is a minor slip. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations for describing spatial changes and ensure your verb forms are accurate. Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For instance, 'several changes has been taken place' contains a subject-verb agreement error, and 'is redesigned to built' should be 'is redesigned to build'. Additionally, 'the location of bin is still same' is missing articles. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, article usage, and the correct infinitive forms after passive constructions.
