The given plans shows how the cafe looked before and how it turned out after the renovations.

As the plan shows the replica of colloge cafe, the cafe before redesign looked more compact and unorganized. There were kitchen and serving area were very close before reovation but after redesign there are proper kitchen and seprate space for hot meals. The position of toilets were same as before but the bin area converted into a recycling area which is very thoughfull acording to today's enviornmental issues. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the cafe redesign, such as the kitchen relocation, the addition of a salad bar, and the new outdoor seating. However, the response lacks a clear overview paragraph, which is essential for a high band score in Task 1. While you mention specific changes, the description of the layout is somewhat disjointed. To improve, ensure you provide a concise summary of the most significant changes in the introduction or immediately following it, and ensure all comparisons are clearly linked to the 'before' and 'after' states.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate, such as the phrase 'Furthermore, the indore sitting can not change yet.' The transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'in contrast', 'simultaneously') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through the comparison of the two plans.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'colloge', 'seprate', 'thoughfull', 'enviornmental', 'intoduce') and word choice issues (e.g., 'replica of colloge cafe', 'new change were made'). These errors occasionally distract the reader. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to spatial descriptions and design, and proofread carefully to eliminate basic spelling mistakes. Using more sophisticated collocations would also enhance the quality of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('The given plans shows', 'the new change were made') and incorrect verb tenses ('the position of toilets were same'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and sentence fragments. While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will significantly improve your score.
