The plan chart illustrates the amendments and changes have been made in the college cafeteria.

Overall, there are number of new amenities were added along with the rest of the areas were left on the same page like washrooms and sitting area.

Firstly, in the cooking area, the kitchen section was unchanged but the serving station was replaced into the hot meal area. Then, there was two sections in the middle that were used for the staff dining, then converted into the take away food and the coffee bar after its renovation. The tables and chairs were on the same place where it used to be.

Furthermore, the salad bar was the new addition in the cafe on the south west side. For the outdoor activities, the barbecue and the outdoor seating area were introduced to attract the more customers. Moreover, the restrooms were left untouched, while the disposing area was enlarged with the new recycling bins. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers the main features of the cafe redesign, including the new additions like the salad bar and outdoor seating, as well as the modifications to the kitchen and dining areas. You have successfully identified the key changes and made relevant comparisons between the 'before' and 'after' states. However, the overview is slightly weak; it mentions that some areas were 'left on the same page', which is an awkward phrasing. To reach a higher band, ensure the overview clearly highlights the most significant trends or transformations, such as the shift toward a more customer-focused layout with increased dining and outdoor options, rather than just listing what stayed the same.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding summary of changes. You use a variety of cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'Last but not least' to guide the reader through the information. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the sentence 'the rest of the areas were left on the same page'. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that pronouns or references clearly point to the specific areas on the map would enhance the overall coherence of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'amenities', 'renovation', 'disposal area', and 'smooth access'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'replaced into the hot meal area' is unnatural; 'converted into' or 'replaced by' would be more appropriate. Additionally, 'left on the same page' is an incorrect idiom in this context. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology for describing spatial changes and layout modifications, and ensure that your word choices are contextually accurate to describe architectural or design features.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For instance, 'there are number of new amenities were added' contains a subject-verb agreement error and an unnecessary 'are'. Similarly, 'the tables and chairs were on the same place where it used to be' should be 'in the same place' and 'they used to be'. There are also minor issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage will help improve your accuracy.
