Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response covers the main features of the cafe plans, identifying key changes such as the addition of the salad bar and outdoor seating. However, the description is somewhat superficial. For example, stating 'the bins growth only in it is size' is vague and lacks the precision required for a high band. The overview is present but lacks a clear, professional summary of the most significant transformations. To improve, ensure you clearly contrast the 'before' and 'after' states with more specific detail regarding the layout changes, rather than simply listing items that were replaced or remained.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'On the other hand' are used to introduce a new paragraph, but the transition is not entirely logical in this context. Furthermore, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'All this lead to make the new cafe more comfortable', where the connection to previous ideas is weak. Improving the flow between sentences using a wider variety of linking words would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'surving area' (serving area), 'collage cafe' (college cafe), and 'staf dining rooms'. The phrase 'contracted, replace, delete, or remain' is used awkwardly and does not accurately describe the changes in the floor plan. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on using more precise terminology for describing spatial changes, such as 'relocated', 'expanded', 'partitioned', or 'converted', and ensure that spelling is accurate throughout the response.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('This two maps illustrated', 'bins growth'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack proper tense consistency. For instance, 'A new department can be see' should be 'can be seen'. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the text from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors would be highly beneficial.
