The plans depict a college cafe before renovation and how it looks now.
Overall, the cafe underwent through significant changes, including the addition of several new facilities and an outside seating area, while some of the existing features remained unchanged.

In the center of the cafe, staff dining rooms were divided into two section, Take away food and Coffee bar. Moreover, an Outdoor seating area were introduced to the south of the building. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers all key features of the cafe redesign, including the new facilities and structural changes. You have successfully identified the main trends, such as the conversion of the serving area and the addition of the outdoor seating. However, the report could be improved by providing more precise comparisons between the 'before' and 'after' states. For instance, while you mention the addition of the salad bar and barbecue, you could explicitly contrast the previous layout's lack of these features. The overview is clear and effectively summarises the most significant changes, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.5-7.0 level of task coverage.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The response is logically organised into clear paragraphs. You use cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'Looking at the details', 'Likewise', and 'However' to guide the reader through the information. The progression of ideas is generally smooth, moving from the general overview to specific changes in the north, east, and center of the cafe. While the flow is effective, some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The use of referencing is generally clear, though the structure of the sentences in the third paragraph could be slightly more varied to enhance the overall cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'renovation', 'facilities', 'converted', and 'introduced'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'underwent through' (which is redundant) and 'divided into two section' (should be plural 'sections'). You successfully use specific terminology related to the diagram, such as 'serving area', 'recycling bins', and 'outdoor seating area'. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and ensure consistent accuracy in pluralisation and preposition usage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors that slightly distract from the flow, such as 'staff dining rooms were divided into two section' (missing plural) and 'an Outdoor seating area were introduced' (subject-verb agreement error; 'area' is singular). Additionally, 'the cafe underwent through' is grammatically incorrect; 'underwent' does not require 'through'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading of basic subject-verb agreement and prepositional usage to achieve a higher band score.
