The plane illustrate a college cafe before and after redesigned look.

It is visible that it become more modern and aesthetic after redesign. And there is many new things are added. Also they use the outdoor area for cafe.

At first lets talk about kitchen and toilets area which are remains same as before. But besides kitchen there was serving area where all foods and drinks were served, after redesigning in this area there is serve only hot meals. On the left side of that, in previous time there was staff dining rooms which are converted in take away food and cofee bar after. In addition those table and chairs in the middle area are still same. Also the bin is exchange by the recycle bin.

Lastly talk about the outdoor area which was not used before it is a new thing they design it with seating options and also have arrangement for barbecue section.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response covers the main features of the cafe redesign, including the kitchen, serving area, seating, and the new outdoor space. However, the report lacks a clear overview or summary of the most significant changes, which is a requirement for Task 1. The description is somewhat fragmented, and the comparison between the 'before' and 'after' states is occasionally unclear due to grammatical issues. While the main features are identified, the lack of a cohesive summary and the informal tone prevent a higher score. To improve, ensure you include a clear introductory overview that highlights the most notable transformations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'also' and 'and'. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'after redesigning in this area there is serve only hot meals'. The logical progression is present but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would significantly enhance the flow of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'The plane illustrate' (should be 'The plans illustrate') and 'the bin is exchange by the recycle bin' (should be 'replaced by'). The range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little attempt to use more precise or academic terminology to describe the changes, such as 'renovated', 'transformed', or 'relocated'. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to describing maps and diagrams, and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('there is many new things are added'), incorrect verb tenses ('which are remains same'), and awkward sentence structures ('in previous time there was staff dining rooms which are converted in take away food'). While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic structures limits the score. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the control over simple sentences is inconsistent. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage is essential for improvement.
