The map illustrate the architectural design of cafe before and after the construction.

Overall, the major change happened in the outdoor sitting arrangement as well as in the food area.

To begin from the north side of the kitchen the transformation of serving area to just served the hot meals after the completion of a design. Then the staff dining room that served food just for the staff converted to takeaway food and for the drink station. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the cafe redesign, such as the changes to the food service areas and the addition of outdoor seating. However, the response lacks a clear overview of the most significant changes, which is a key requirement for Band 7+. While you mention the outdoor seating and food area, the description of the layout changes is somewhat fragmented. To improve, ensure you group information logically—for example, by contrasting the areas that remained unchanged with those that were completely repurposed. The report covers all parts of the task, but the lack of a cohesive summary of the overall transformation limits the score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In contrast' to link ideas. However, the progression of information is sometimes mechanical and occasionally confusing. For instance, the transition between the kitchen area and the bin replacement feels abrupt. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as 'Apart from them', which does not clearly refer back to the previous points. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that cohesive devices are used to connect related ideas more naturally would raise your score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'architectural design', 'transformation', and 'designated'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'the map illustrate' (should be 'illustrates'), 'just served the hot meals', and 'regular bin transmitted to recycle bin'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly less precise. To reach a higher band, focus on using more accurate collocations and ensuring that your vocabulary is used in the correct grammatical form to describe changes in a diagram.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('The map illustrate'), missing articles ('the kitchen place'), and awkward phrasing ('which actually be a creative approach'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Increasing the number of error-free sentences will significantly improve your score in this criterion.
