Student answer (Band 6.0)

The plans illustrate the map of a college cafe that has been redesigned now. The plans show all the advancements that have been made so far made to make the cafe more better place to sit and have lunch.

Overall, there are various sections in which cafe is divided. A huge area is occupied by the sitting in both plans while the lowest area is occupied by bins that has been replaced by recycling bins in the new plan but the area remained same. Outdoor sitting is being included in new plan to make sure that customers can enjoy fresh with barbecue.

Firstly, the kitchen can be seen as an L shaped area which remained same throughout redesignation. In the first plan, there's a corner in the kitchen from which all the food and drinks were being served but now on, it is used to serve hot meals only. Similarly, there's a new area that has been added totally opposite to the recycling bins after the redesign which serves fresh salad to the customers.

Moreover, the tables and chairs area remained same throughout with a huge change in the staff dining room that was present infront of it, and now it has been divided into two sections, one serves as a coffee bar and the other for the customers who want to take away their food. If we look at the opposite side of these two sections, and just turn left there's a tiny space occupied by toilets that hasn't been changed even after redesign. The most exciting thing about the redesign is that it has added an outdoor sitting space for customers and also presented a live barbecue table to enjoy barbecue specially in winter nights.
