The plans below show a college cafe before it was redesigned and how it looks now.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given maps give comparison of a cafe in a college that how it was

in older times and how it looks in present era after renovation.

Overall, a cafe underwent significant redevelopments. Staff dinning rooms have been changed into take away food and coffee bar. A new salad bar has been built in the west of the map. Moreover, new seating tables have been constructed in the bottom of the map.

It can be seen that kitchen is still in its previous location. It is in the top left of the map. Serving area has been turned into an area for hot meals. On the one hand, staff dining rooms have been allocated areas as take away food and coffee bar. On the other hand, bin area has been exanded in the east of the map.

Tables and chairs are still in their former location, in the middle of the map. In the bottom of the recycling bins, toilets are still in their traditional place. New tables for seating have been made in the outside of the map while in the left of the tables, an area to serve barbecue has been made.
