Student answer (Band 5.0)
This graph line illustrates the transformation of cafe that how it looked before and how it redesigned newly.
Cafe before looked very normal and it has only compulsory facilities for survival. And the blueprints of new unit shows that it upgraded in most luxuary style.
In beginning, when it was in their old condition. it has basic factors for instance mian hall(the dinning area for clients), kitchen(where meal cooked) with serving area, staff dining rooms and toilets. Now it changed totally with many factors and facts. Many of things upgraded and some additional point done by cafe owner. The main additions are barbecue, outdoor seating, take away section, coffee bar and saladbar.
The main advantage of cafe upgradation is beautifull ambious with great facilities and it used in graping new customer. Old cafe was limited things for thier client and in contrast, new upgraded unit play paramount role in customer making.
In my opinnion, New cafe is many benifical when we comparing it with old unit. According to my prospective, today clients feel joyful in outdoor seating. And this fact attract more customers. The main point is that investment is extremely important in custommer making.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The student attempts to describe the changes shown in the two maps of the college cafe, identifying several key alterations such as the addition of an outdoor seating area, a barbecue, a salad bar, and a coffee bar. However, the response falls short of the requirements for Academic Task 1 by adopting an inappropriate personal and argumentative tone (e.g., 'In my opinnion, New cafe is many benifical'). Rather than maintaining an objective, data-driven summary reporting the main features and making relevant comparisons, the student wanders into subjective commentary about customer satisfaction and investment. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed, earning a band score of 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text is divided into short paragraphs, attempting an introduction, body, and conclusion. However, the logical progression is hindered by poor paragraphing, informal transitions, and a lack of clear spatial referencing (e.g., referring to the maps as a 'graph line'). Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, and sometimes misused, causing the flow of ideas to feel disjointed. While the overall subject matter is somewhat discernible, referencing is often unclear. This performance aligns with the descriptors for Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The student demonstrates a limited and basic vocabulary range with frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'luxuary', 'dinning', 'mian', 'ambious', 'graping', 'opinnion', 'benifical', 'custommer'). While some topic-specific terms from the prompt are successfully integrated (such as 'kitchen', 'serving area', 'outdoor seating', 'barbecue'), word choices and collocations are often awkward or inaccurate ('customer making', 'beautifull ambious'). The lexicon is minimally adequate to convey basic points, but lexical control is weak, supporting a band score of 4.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response features a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic subject-verb constructions, many of which contain fundamental errors (e.g., 'Cafe before looked very normal and it has only compulsory facilities', 'Now it changed totally with many factors and facts'). Punctuation and article usage are frequently faulty, and tense consistency is poorly maintained between past and present descriptions. These persistent errors cause strain for the reader, placing the grammar at a band score of 4.5.
