Student answer (Band 6.0)

The following plans for a college cafe show the before-and-after redevelopment designs. The kitchen and toilets remain in the same place as before in both remodeling plans. A few new areas are introduced, such as a barbecue, outdoor seating, a salad bar, a coffee bar, a hot meal area, and a takeaway food area.

The proposed area for tables and chairs was only on the north side; it is now expanded to an outdoor seating area for a scenic view. The designated area for staff dining is now divided into two sections: hot meal and takeaway food areas.

The serving area (all food & beverage) is transformed into a hot meal service station. The west side, where the bin was placed, has been replaced with recycling bins. The east side, just beside the kitchen, has a salad bar that is open with a variety of sweet and savory leafy greens.

At last, there is a newly built modern barbecue setting,where a variety of options are available.
