Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify the main overall changes, including new food counters, outdoor seating and the continued presence of the kitchen and toilets. The comparison that the former staff dining rooms were replaced by takeaway and coffee facilities is relevant, and you also note the new southern access. This covers the task’s central transformation and shows some overview. However, several details are inaccurate or unclear: the staff dining rooms were replaced by indoor takeaway and coffee areas, not shifted outdoors, and the recycling bins did not change position. The claim that the seating area was “shifted outside” overlooks the central tables and chairs that remain indoors. To strengthen the response, describe the plan’s key locations precisely and distinguish additions from features that stayed unchanged; some of your comparisons are currently under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is an overall attempt to move from a general summary to changes and then to features that remain, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Moreover” and “However” help signal relationships. Nevertheless, the progression is not consistently clear: the paragraph beginning “regarding inclutions” combines counters, staff rooms, waste facilities and an interpretation of the redesign, while the final paragraph repeats the point about the café’s area. Some connectors are used awkwardly or join too many ideas, particularly “while toilets and kitchen has not been changed along with the recycle bins, Furthermore…”. Organise the response into a concise overview followed by clearly grouped indoor changes, unchanged features and outdoor additions. This would make the relationships between details easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of task-related vocabulary, including “renovated,” “adjoining,” “seating capacity” and “waste segregation,” and terms such as “salad bar” and “outdoor seating” are relevant. However, several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, which sometimes makes the description difficult to interpret. For example, “more occupancies” does not naturally describe increased seating, “barbeque counters” mislabels the barbecue area, and “tiny attachments” is vague for the added doors. There are also spelling errors, including “inclutions,” “wich” and “accesible.” Use precise plan vocabulary and check spelling; for example, describe the barbecue as an area and the new doors as entrances or access points.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You try to use both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “which” and “while,” but control is inconsistent. Agreement errors appear in “the salad bar and the barbeque counters provides” and “toilets and kitchen has not been changed.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: the long sentence beginning “regarding inclutions” joins several ideas, and “while toilets…” is followed by a capitalised “Furthermore” without a clear sentence break. Articles and phrasing are also sometimes missing or awkward, as in “in present the area of the cafe.” Aim for shorter, complete sentences, check subject–verb agreement, and use punctuation to separate each comparison. These changes would make your varied sentence attempts clearer and more accurate.
