Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify several important changes, including the conversion of the serving area to hot meals, the addition of a salad bar and outdoor seating, and the unchanged kitchen and central tables. These details are generally relevant and show that you understand the plans. However, some features are unclear or inaccurately described: the staff dining rooms were replaced by separate takeaway-food and coffee-bar sections, rather than simply being “seperated,” and the recycling bins are not described as increasing in size. The overview that changes were greatest in the east and least in the north is also not well supported; the most notable additions are along the west and south. Develop the comparison more precisely, including the new southern doors and the four outdoor tables.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph describing changes, a further paragraph on outdoor features and retained facilities, and a concluding overview. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression within the body is uneven, and the sequence shifts between areas without a clear organising principle. Linking phrases such as “In addition to that” and “Furthermore” are used, but they do not always clarify how the details relate. The final overview repeats a broad claim rather than drawing together the main changes. Grouping information by what was retained, what changed inside, and what was added outside would make the comparison easier to follow; clearer references to the two plans would also help.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “serving area,” “eastern corner,” “south-western direction,” and “redesigning.” This gives you a basic range for describing locations and changes. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural expressions are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “consrtaction,” “graps,” “siez,” and “encance,” while “seating arrangement is added” and “beauty of the cafe bar” are not suitable descriptions of the plan changes. Aim for accurate map vocabulary and natural collocations, such as “was added,” “is located,” and “outdoor seating area.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise terms will improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, for example, “In addition to that, Staff dining room is seperated now and buid coffee bar and used for food.” However, this sentence shows problems with sentence construction and verb forms, and several other sentences have errors in agreement, articles, or tense. In “Toilet is remaining untouch in present,” the verb pattern is not grammatical; “Kitchen department are also available” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening phrase “compares between” also uses an incorrect grammatical pattern. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Practise accurate past and present passive forms for describing changes, and check that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
