The two plans illustrate a college cafe before and after it was redesigned and how it looks.

While staf dining rooms were no longer available which were replcaed. The ordinary bin has been replaced by recycling bin at same place. There is addition of salad baar in west part of college, while barbecue is also added beside the door of cafe..

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main transformation clearly: the former staff dining rooms become a takeaway-food section and coffee bar, the serving counter changes to hot meals, and outdoor seating is added. You also correctly note that the kitchen, central tables and chairs, and toilets remain, and that the bin becomes recycling bins. This covers the key before-and-after features and gives a relevant overall summary. To make the account more complete and precise, include the new salad bar and barbecue in the overview or describe their locations more accurately; the barbecue is south-west of the building, not simply beside the cafe door. Some details, such as the new southern access doors and the outdoor tables, are mentioned but could be integrated more clearly into the comparison.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs describing changes and unchanged features. This gives the reader a coherent general route through the plans. However, progression within the body is uneven. The sentence beginning “While staff dining rooms…” repeats the previous point rather than adding information, and “Some areas of cafe has no changes or replacement” shifts abruptly from changes to unchanged features. Linking words such as “Overall,” “While,” and “Furthermore” are used, but some connections feel mechanical or unclear. Grouping the changes by location—for example, north, west, east, then south—and using clearer references would make the comparison easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant plan vocabulary, including “replaced,” “facility,” “outdoor seating,” and “access,” and the reader can generally understand the changes being described. However, several word-choice and spelling problems reduce precision: “food servicing” is less natural than “serving area,” “ordinary bin” is vague, and “new arrangement … is done” is awkward. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “noticable,” “staf,” “replcaed,” and “baar.” Repetition of “replaced” and “new” limits the range. Aim for accurate labels from the plan and natural map-description phrases such as “was converted into,” “was added along the western wall,” and “remained unchanged.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex forms, including the contrast introduced by “While” and the relative clause in “which were replaced,” but control is inconsistent. For example, “Some areas of cafe has no changes” has an agreement error and an awkward verb pattern; “which are kitchen, tables and chairs and toilets” also needs a clearer grammatical construction. The sentence “While staff dining rooms were no longer available which were replaced” is incomplete and repeats an idea, while “there is also a new facility … available after redesigned” has an unclear tense and passive form. Most sentences remain simple, and these errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise complete comparisons using accurate past-tense passives and subject–verb agreement.
