Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify the two time periods and include several relevant labels, such as the kitchen, seating, toilets, and the new coffee bar and salad bar. However, the response only minimally summarises the plans: it does not clearly explain the main changes or compare locations. The overview claims changes to “residence, business, tranporation, plantation, sports, medical facility,” although most of these are not shown; the key additions are outdoor seating and a barbecue, not transport, planting, sports, or medical facilities. You also say the café developed in “almost four directions,” which is unclear, and do not mention that the toilets and central seating remain or that the former staff dining rooms became takeaway and coffee areas. Focus on accurate, prominent changes and give a clear overview.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate descriptions of the café before and after redesign. This gives the reader some sense of the comparison, and phrases such as “Overall” and “Furthermore” attempt to connect ideas. However, progression is limited because the details are mostly presented as lists rather than organised comparisons. The transition “Pouring some light on modification” is awkward, while “oppostily” does not clearly signal a contrast. The overview also introduces unrelated categories, interrupting the focus. Group information by what stayed the same, what changed inside, and what was added outside; use clear links such as “By contrast” and “Meanwhile” to guide the reader.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “serving area,” “staff dining rooms,” “Hot meals,” “Coffee bar,” and “Recycling bins,” so the reader can recognise several features. However, the range is often basic or inaccurate, and spelling errors are frequent enough to strain understanding: examples include “collage,” “Theses,” “tranporation,” “remainend,” and “infrastrustre.” Some choices are also unsuitable for describing a café plan: “residence,” “plantation,” “sports,” and “medical facility” do not match the features shown. Phrases such as “oppostily a few thing” are difficult to interpret. Use precise plan vocabulary and check spelling; for example, describe “new facilities” only when naming actual additions, such as outdoor seating and a barbecue.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a few different sentence forms, including the overview beginning “Overall, it can be seen…” and the contrast introduced by “However.” Some simple statements are understandable, but errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation are frequent. For example, “there were kitchen” needs a plural or an article, and “there were equipped with a bin” has an unclear subject and faulty structure. The sentence beginning “Pouring some light on modification a cafe today” is not grammatically complete, and “a few thing” does not agree in number. Full stops are also separated from the preceding words by spaces. Build accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled comparisons using forms such as “The toilets remained, while…”
