Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main before-and-after purpose and report several relevant features, including the kitchen, seating, staff rooms becoming food-service areas, recycling bins, toilets and new outdoor seating with a barbecue. However, the overview is unclear and partly unsupported: describing the café as “very big” and “well setted” does not accurately summarise the main changes, and “very expencive” is not shown in the plans. Some details are inaccurate or vague: the outdoor area has four tables, not “five to six,” and the former staff rooms are replaced by adjoining takeaway and coffee-bar sections, rather than simply “two rooms inside a hall.” To improve, give a precise overview of the key changes and describe locations and changes accurately, including the new salad bar and southern doors.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall sequence: it introduces the plans, describes the earlier layout, and then moves to the current one. This gives the reader some sense of comparison. However, progression within the paragraphs is often difficult to follow because locations are expressed vaguely, as in “In the up side” and “In the downward,” and several sentences repeat the same simple “there were/there are” pattern. The overview is separated but does not clearly guide the description. Use clearer grouping—for example, compare the northern service areas, then the central and eastern features, and finally the new outdoor space. More accurate linking phrases such as “whereas,” “in contrast,” and “additionally” would help connect changes without making the writing feel repetitive.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “kitchen,” “serving area,” “tables and chairs,” “recycling bins,” and “barbecue,” so the reader can identify several features. However, the range is limited and word choice is often inaccurate or unclear. Phrases such as “well setted,” “not saled bar counter,” and “inside of hot meals stall init” do not communicate the intended layout naturally; “expencive” is also both misspelled and unsupported by the visual information. Repeated use of “hall,” “room,” and “side” makes distinctions between areas imprecise. Build a small set of accurate plan-description terms, such as “counter,” “section,” “along the western wall,” and “adjacent to,” and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response mainly uses short, simple statements, with limited control of more varied sentence structures. Errors in agreement and sentence formation occur repeatedly, for example, “The plans illustrates,” “they were a kitchen,” and “There are right side of a recycling bins.” Articles, plurals, and prepositions are also frequently inaccurate, as in “a toilet” when referring to the toilets and “In the outdoor, setting.” Capitalisation and spacing after full stops are inconsistent, which further interrupts reading. These errors sometimes make relationships between features difficult to understand. Practise reliable patterns such as “There was a kitchen in the upper-left corner,” “The staff rooms were replaced by…,” and “The toilets remained in the bottom-right corner,” then combine these accurately with comparison clauses.
