Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify several genuine changes, including the new take-away food and coffee bar, the salad bar, recycling bins, hot meals, and outdoor seating with a barbecue. This shows a partial understanding of the plans. However, the response does not give a clear, accurate overview of the main transformation, and some details are misreported: the entrance is on the upper-right/east wall, not on the left, and the plans show two doors there rather than one main door. The comments about customers, families, lights, and the owner are not supported by the plans. To strengthen the report, focus on the layout changes and retained features, such as the kitchen and toilets, and avoid adding explanations or claims not shown.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some grouping of related changes: you mention the new food facilities, then the outdoor area, and finally make a general comment about the redesign. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure or consistent progression from an overview to specific comparisons. Linking is also limited, with repeated use of “also” and abrupt transitions such as “On the left side” and “In the outer side.” Some references are difficult to follow, particularly “where you ear or drinks cold drinks,” which interrupts the description of the recycling bins. Organise the response into a brief overview and paragraphs describing internal and external changes, and use clear location-based links to guide the reader.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant plan vocabulary, including “recycling bins,” “salad bar,” “serving area,” and “outdoor seating,” so the reader can recognise several features. However, the range is limited and many expressions are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “Cafe design looking good know,” “outer siede,” and “many custmors seat.” Spelling errors such as “coffe,” “beautifull,” and “Architector” further reduce clarity. Some wording, including “when you ear or drinks cold drinks,” is not appropriate for a formal plan description. Practise precise terms for location and change, such as “along the western wall” and “was replaced by,” and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example, “Hot meal added at the serving area where food and drinks served,” but sentence structures are often incomplete or faulty, and these errors can make relationships between features unclear. Articles and verb forms are frequently missing or incorrect: “Hot meal added” needs a subject and auxiliary, while “many custmors seat” does not form a correct clause. Tense and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “Owner build this cafe and many custmors happy.” Most sentences follow simple patterns, with little accurate control of more complex structures. Build complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use past forms for changes and present forms for the current layout.
