Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify several genuine changes, including the addition of outdoor seating, the conversion of the staff dining rooms into takeaway and coffee areas, and the replacement of the bin with recycling bins. However, the response only partially summarises the plans: it gives no clear overview of the main changes and omits important features such as the hot-meals counter, the salad bar’s position, and the two new southern doors. Some details are inaccurate or unsupported: the barbecue is not described as being for fresh meat, and the plans do not show that food is served immediately. The response is also 24 words below the required minimum, limiting the detail you can provide. Describe the layout changes objectively and include a concise overview.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic sequence: it introduces the comparison, then mentions outdoor seating, changes to the former staff area, and recycling bins. This gives the reader some sense of the topic, but the ideas are compressed into one paragraph and do not develop in a clear, systematic order. The opening comment about the kitchen’s importance does not help organise the comparison, while phrases such as “The change which first come in notice” are awkward links rather than clear signposts. Group the changes by area—for example, interior facilities first and outdoor additions second—and use a separate overview to guide the reader. This would create clearer progression and make the relationships between features easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for describing a café plan, including “outdoor seating,” “staff dining area,” “coffee bar,” and “recycling bins.” These terms help communicate several changes, but the range is limited and some choices are imprecise or informal for an objective report. “Fresh meat” and “served right away” introduce meanings not shown in the plans, while “normal bins” is less precise than the label “bin.” Spelling errors such as “kithen” and “experiance” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of plan-description terms, such as “was converted into,” “was added along the western wall,” and “remained unchanged,” and use the labels shown in the visual rather than adding assumptions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine ideas using clauses, as in “as people can enjoy their food outside rather than only indoor dining,” but the sentence structures are often faulty or incomplete. The opening, “kithen is the most important in cafe business if that is designed upto the structure,” has unclear clause relationships and missing articles. In “Staff dining area is converted,” the article and tense do not fit a description of changes already made; “the staff dining rooms were converted” would be clearer. There are also run-on sentences and missing spaces after commas, particularly around “new cafe, for.” Use mostly controlled past-tense sentences to report the redesign, and check articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries before submitting.
