Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the era of social media, cinemas and theatress are no longer entertaining as people watch all the entertainment online as some people says. It is the controervsial issue by nowdays while some peole argue that cinemas and theatres are still crucial in both aspects culturally and economically. I strongly believe that cinemas and theaters are no longer important. This eassy will explain why i support my perspective.

The primary reason for my opinion is there are variety of technology introduced in market like laptops, notebooks, tablets, projectors as well as mobile along with the connection of internet. All the stuff regarding entertainment they watch thriugh these digital stuff. For example if childrens want to see animated movie in cinemas parents do this at home bu using projector which gives a feel of cinema. In addition, people used to watch their favourites movies and drama on mobile or laptop in their break from their work or in free time.

On the other hand, opponents believe that cinemas and theatres are more benifical culturally and economically. They point out that if both runs, more financially we will robust as well as it promotes aur culture. people under one roof amused by a film, it gives a sense of brotherhood between them. Moreover, theater dramas promote culture that widely known by the person of other community with different cultre. If we strong financially we promote our films on international level which results, economy will be stable. For instance, a tourist visit a country, want to see film in cinema. He surley known about our culture and facilities provide in cinema hall as well as qulity of stuff that delievred through theatres and cinemas.

In conclusion, both views have their merits. I believe that many digital platform fullfill the need of cinemas and theaters at greater level. This is due to savage of time and money. That's why some people convinced for not to watch entertainment stuff in cinemas.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear view: “I strongly believe that cinemas and theaters are no longer important.” The paragraph about digital devices gives relevant examples, while the opposing view includes cultural and economic reasons. However, the task asks you to discuss why these venues remain important, and that side is less clearly explained: the claims about brotherhood, cultural promotion and economic stability are asserted rather than developed. Your own position is also not fully consistent, since the conclusion says both views have merit but mainly repeats that digital platforms meet people’s needs. Explain more precisely why online entertainment outweighs the benefits of shared venues, and support each main point with a clear example or explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for your view and the opposing view, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, the move from tourists watching films to “quality of stuff” does not clearly explain the economic or cultural benefit. The introduction also repeats the task’s opposing positions before establishing your own, and the conclusion does not resolve the contrast between your firm opening opinion and “both views have their merits.” Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital,” “culturally,” “economically,” “projector,” and “international level,” so the reader can identify the subject and main ideas. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “controervsial,” “benifical,” “cultre,” and “delievred.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “more financially we will robust” and “savage of time and money.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than inserting ambitious phrases whose meaning is unclear. Proofread spelling carefully, and practise topic-specific expressions such as “generate employment,” “preserve cultural traditions,” and “a shared viewing experience.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and longer sentences, including conditional and subordinate structures, as in “if childrens want to see animated movie…” and “If we strong financially we promote our films…”. However, these complex attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to follow. Examples include “some people says,” “there are variety,” “if both runs,” and “people under one roof amused by a film,” where agreement, articles, or missing verb forms affect clarity. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, particularly in the long sentence beginning “For instance, a tourist visit a country.” Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, and verb forms before adding complexity.
