Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You attempt to discuss both views and give a personal position, especially in “from my perspectives,” where you favour the cultural and financial value of theatres. However, the response only partially addresses the question: the online-entertainment paragraph focuses mainly on social media, eye strain and chatting with strangers, rather than explaining how online access might replace theatres or cinemas. The economic and cultural case is also unclear; “eating together” is mentioned, but the link to theatres’ economic contribution is not explained. The family anecdote does not clearly support the argument. Develop one relevant reason for each view, explain its connection to theatres and cinemas, and state your opinion more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, a personal opinion and a conclusion. Connectors such as “Moreover,” “Conversely” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several points are placed together without clear links, and some transitions do not match the ideas that follow. For example, the discussion of online chats shifts from their possible benefit to strangers and eye strain, while the anecdote about people eating together is not clearly tied to the cultural argument. The introduction also repeats the task rather than setting up a clear line of discussion. Organise each paragraph around one main claim and explain how each example supports it.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital technology,” “economically,” “culturally” and “traditional.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations make the meaning unclear, such as “fatigue use,” “highly potential disadvantages” and “watching entire day is reels and movies.” There are also spelling errors, including “afftect,” “Futhermore” and “neverthelesss,” which reduce accuracy. Repetition of “beneficial,” “traditional” and “culture” also limits precision. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check that each word fits its context; for example, explain whether online entertainment is convenient, accessible or inexpensive, and whether theatres support local employment or preserve shared cultural experiences.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentence forms, including a contrast with “While” and a concession beginning “sometimes,” but control is weak and errors frequently obscure the intended meaning. Examples include “other individual argue,” “we discuss both point of view are discussed,” and “theatres and cinemas are still watching in traditional way.” These show problems with subject–verb agreement, plural forms and sentence construction. Verb forms and tense are also inconsistent, as in “Some time ago, we are with my family, i saw.” Punctuation and capitalisation are uneven, with sentence openings such as “we” and “from” left lowercase and spaces appearing before punctuation. Practise building clear subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking agreement, tense and sentence boundaries.
