Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people believe that in modern era, theatres and cinemas are losing their importance as public can see all the meterial they required already available online. Another group adovcates that the classical entertainment still have signifcance in both way either it is economics or culture. I strongly agree with the second group because it is socially very important to have one centred entertaining point and it is easy to adopt that place according to the local norms.
In the current age of technology every one have now access to almost every media platform around the globe. The citizens are now criticising the classical methods of entertainment like theatres and cinemas are losing their fame and popularity. The supporter of this idea claims that there is no need for a centerlized media because in old ways no more options were available to spectators. If they did not liked a movie or show, still they had to stuck till the end, however now if they do not like any program, they have just to scroll or search another. Alot of new options are provided including age-wise, country-wise or interest base to customers.
The defender of theaters and cinemas argue that still it have a significant role because due to watching a movie in cinema along with family will provide you extra time with them. It also a clutrual and historical value becuse you are not allowed to watch every type of stuff at theater or cinema. it is centrilzed system and easy to control.
In conclusion, i would like to say, that i am a strong supporter of the classical system for entertainment because it is easy for government to control and obsereve while for online system it is difficult for the authoraties to keep check and balance, for Online apps everyone requires to have account and pay monthly charges, which also make it costly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a clear opinion in favour of theatres and cinemas, and you discuss both online entertainment and traditional venues. The online-view paragraph gives relevant reasons, such as greater choice and the ability to switch programmes, while the traditional-view paragraph mentions family time and cultural value. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the cultural point is asserted rather than explained, and the economic importance named in the prompt is not really addressed. Your conclusion introduces government control and subscription costs, but these points are not developed in the body and do not fully support the earlier reasons. To strengthen the response, explain each side with specific examples and connect your opinion consistently to the task’s economic and cultural dimensions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. Some progression is weakened by unclear links between ideas, however. For example, the claim that cinemas provide family time is followed by cultural value and then by the idea that venues are easier to control, without explaining how these points relate. The conclusion also shifts to government monitoring and monthly charges, which have not been established in the body. Linking phrases such as “In contrast” or “Furthermore” could clarify relationships, but the main improvement is to organise each paragraph around one central reason and develop it before moving on.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “media platform,” “spectators,” “cultural,” and “centralized,” so the reader can identify the subject of the essay. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to interpret, such as “classical entertainment,” “in both way either it is economics or culture,” and “easy to adopt that place.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “meterial,” “adovcates,” and “clutrual.” Aim for precise, natural expressions and check spelling carefully. For instance, use “traditional venues” rather than “classical entertainment,” and describe cinemas as having “economic and cultural significance” rather than using the unclear phrase about “both way.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “If they did not liked a movie or show…” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make reading less smooth. Examples include “every one have,” “the classical entertainment still have,” “they did not liked,” and “It also a clutrual and historical value.” The final sentence also combines several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and build longer sentences from shorter, correct clauses before adding subordinate clauses.
