Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the present era, a small number of individuals believe that movie theatres and cinemas are temporary inportant as people can watch movies on the internet, while argue that theatres and movies still crucial both economically and traditionally. I believe that movies and cinema hall make more entertainment and preserve culture.

On the one hand, in the present time people watch more movies on the online site. This is because easily access and lower cost. Although people prafer online platform for saving time and cost, it makes less enjoy than cinema hall. The public spand more time with their work for leadding a better life. So people get less of time for entertaining. For instance, Netflex is more popular site for movies and entertainment. As a reasult people do like to save their cost and comute cost.

On the other hand, movie theatres improve national progress and preserve local culture. The cinema hall authority provides entrance price for watching movies and they also reles local movie, which are related local culture environment. The autheority has earned money by the saling tickets and contribute on national progress. For example, in Bangladeshi cinema hall always provide local short flims and movies for ordinary people. As a result, people perchase tickets and learn about their traditional ragulation form there.

In conclusion, I believe that cinema theatres and movies still significant both economically and culturally. Although visiting movie theatres is expensive, it helps to learn more knowledge about traditional rules and ragulations. While online platform easier for people, who are busy with their work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view that cinemas remain important, and you include relevant points about online convenience and cost as well as cinemas’ economic and cultural roles. However, the two perspectives are not discussed with equal clarity: the online-view paragraph mainly explains why people choose streaming, while its comparison with the cinema experience is brief and unclear. The economic point is also asserted rather than fully explained, and the Bangladesh example does not clearly show how cinema contributes to national progress. Your position is present in the introduction and conclusion, but the final sentence about online platforms is incomplete as support for it. Develop each side with a specific reason and example, and explain how each example proves your point.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This makes the overall arrangement easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Although,” “For instance,” and “As a result.” However, some links are mechanical or do not show a clear relationship: “Although people prefer online platform…” is followed by a contrast that is not fully explained, and “As a result” introduces a point that largely repeats the preceding claim. The conclusion’s final sentence is also disconnected from the preceding one. Improve progression by making each paragraph develop one main idea in sequence and use pronouns or linking phrases only when their references are clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “online platform,” “national progress,” “preserve local culture,” and “traditional rules and regulations.” These choices help communicate the main subject and show some range beyond basic words. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “inportant,” “prafer,” “spand,” “reles,” and “perchase.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “makes less enjoy,” “comute cost,” and “traditional ragulation form.” Aim to learn accurate word forms and common collocations as complete phrases, and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for streaming, ticket revenue, and cultural representation would help express your ideas clearly without relying on repeated general words such as “people” and “movies.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession with “Although” and a relative clause in “people, who are busy with their work.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but control is uneven: several sentences have faulty structures or missing grammatical elements. For example, “while argue that theatres…” lacks a clear subject, “This is because easily access and lower cost” is not a complete grammatical explanation, and “the cinema hall authority provides entrance price” has an unclear sentence pattern. The final sentence beginning “While online platform easier…” is also a fragment. Practise building complete clauses with a subject and verb, and check articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries. More accurate complex sentences would make your reasoning easier to follow.
