Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You introduce both views and give a personal position, so the response is relevant to the question. The first main paragraph explains why online entertainment suits people with busy schedules and allows them to watch in different places; the next notes cinema’s large screens, sound quality and social value. However, the discussion is uneven: the economic importance of theatres and cinemas, explicitly mentioned in the prompt, is not addressed, and the cultural argument is only briefly suggested through spending time with family. Several points are asserted rather than explained with a specific example. Your conclusion repeats the preference for shared experiences but does not make your overall position fully precise. Develop both sides more fully and support each with a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “to begin with,” “furthermore” and “in conclusion” helps readers follow the intended progression. However, connections within paragraphs are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “another reason is that who people workholic” does not clearly link the point about convenience to the next idea, and several short fragments interrupt the flow. The conclusion also combines several ideas in one long sentence, making the final message harder to follow. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each supporting point explicitly to the paragraph’s main idea; clearer sentence boundaries and reference words would improve cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “big screens,” “quality time,” “entertainment resources” and “busy schedules,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “a lot amount technology,” “watch all the entertainment through online,” and “entertainments place.” Repeated use of “people,” “enjoy” and “another reason” also limits precision. Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing digital access, cultural value and economic effects, and check spelling carefully. Choosing natural collocations is more useful than attempting complex vocabulary that does not fit the sentence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “although” and “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation frequently make the meaning less clear. For example, “today is live in fast paced world” lacks a clear subject and correct verb form, while “people watches movies” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The opening also contains sentence fragments, such as “and the technology uses accessibly,” and the final sentence has an incomplete construction after “although.” Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check that each sentence has a complete main clause.
