Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both views and state a preference for online entertainment, so the response is relevant to the question. The first body paragraph explains that people can watch films on phones and computers, while the second mentions ticket sales, tax, and live performances. However, these points are brief and often repeated rather than explained with specific reasons or examples; for instance, the economic importance of theatres is asserted but not developed. Your own position is also not fully clear: “Both view is good” is followed by reasons favouring online viewing. The response is 207 words, below the required 250; 46 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each view with a clear explanation and a relevant example, then state your opinion consistently.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad sequence. However, progression within paragraphs is weak: several sentences repeat that people watch entertainment online without adding a new point, and the links between ideas are sometimes unclear. For example, “people cannot go cinemas and theatres so individuals dont go there” does not clearly explain whether online viewing replaces attendance or why. The conclusion also repeats earlier claims rather than bringing the discussion together. Organise each paragraph around one main idea, explain it, and use clearer references and transitions between supporting points.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital age,” “tickets,” “economically,” “culturally,” and “platform.” This allows the reader to identify the main subject and the two sides of the discussion. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “people,” “watch,” and “online.” There are also spelling errors such as “entertaiment,” “threatres,” and “pon,” as well as imprecise or unnatural expressions such as “watch live all drama or film” and “pay tax on the government.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build a wider set of accurate topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations; for example, describe ticket revenue, employment, or the shared experience of a live performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt a few different sentence patterns, including a contrast in the opening (“While…”) and a reason introduced by “because.” Most sentences, however, rely on simple structures, and errors are frequent enough to make some relationships difficult to follow. Examples include “I am discuss both views,” “people watch all the entertaiment on your mobile,” and “people go to cinemas or theatres and buy tickets,” where verb forms, agreement, or sentence construction need attention. Articles and prepositions are also often missing or incorrect, as in “go cinemas” and “pay tax on the government.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and complete sentences first, then combine ideas using correctly formed clauses.
