Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some individuals believe that in the modern genaration, theatres and cinimas are no longer significant as people can watch all the entertainment in the digital platform, whereas others argue that theatres and cinemas are still vital as they imapact in countries economic growth and keep the cultural tradition. Athough the theaters and cimemas has great impact on economic growth and culturally, However, I believe that it saves time and money if people watch it free from and website.

On the one hand, Cinemas and theatres has great impact in economic growth and maintain the cultural tradition. If people purchase more tickits from online and physical store, it would more benefits the sellers. They can earn money and people have works to do something. As a result, there would be less unimployment people and boost economics growth. For instance, in Bangladesh, Substantial shooping has theater facilities and people go there to watch movies, especially, Popular movies such as spiderman, when the movie relase, that time hard to find any tickets, the tickets sold out so quickely. And watching cineams with famiy members and friends are more enjoyable and it helps to maintian the cultural tradition. However, I think people have other things to do and they are busy nowadays, so it is better to watch it from home.

On the other hand, In this modern era, people are watching movies from as there are many free and paid subscription available in online. It helps to saves time because when you go to watch movies in theaters the traffic congestion could be heavy and it will takes a lots of time from your daiy, and it helps to save your money also because do not have to paid for using transportation. There are numerous options available in online if you do not like any particular movies you can change it instantely and watch other movies. If you watch it from theatres anyou have to go there and the traffic cingestion can make you feel tired. For example, In Bangladesh, young people watching series and movies from online because it saves time and enargy, and they have morw time to relax after works.

In conclusion, Although theaters and cinemas has impact in economic growth and culturally, i believe that watching it from homes saves time and money.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and state your view: cinemas support employment and cultural traditions, while watching at home saves time and money. The Bangladesh examples, including tickets selling out and young people streaming, make the response relevant. However, the economic point that ticket sales create work is only briefly explained, and the cultural benefit is asserted rather than illustrated. Your position is also not fully consistent: the introduction says online viewing is free, while the body mentions paid subscriptions, and the conclusion repeats your preference without weighing the two sides. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or example, and make your opinion precise and consistent throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The contrastive opening phrases “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the broad organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from economic benefits to family enjoyment and then to your preference for home viewing, which interrupts its focus. Some linking is repetitive or awkward, particularly repeated references to traffic congestion and the frequent use of “and.” Improve paragraph unity by keeping each paragraph centred on one view, and use clearer referencing and transitions to show how each example supports its point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “economic growth,” “cultural tradition,” “subscription,” and “traffic congestion,” and the meaning is generally recoverable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less precise: “impact in countries economic growth,” “Substantial shooping,” and “watching cineams” are examples. Repetition of “saves time and money” and “watch movies” also limits flexibility. Aim to learn natural word partnerships for this topic and check spelling carefully; for example, describe cinemas as “contributing to the economy” and say that viewers can “stream films at home.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If people purchase more tickets…,” and you use clauses to explain reasons. However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to process. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “Cinemas and theatres has” and “theaters and cinemas has”; verb forms are also faulty in “it would more benefits” and “it will takes.” Other examples include “it helps to saves time” and “do not have to paid.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, especially in the long example beginning “For instance, in Bangladesh.” Practise accurate agreement and verb patterns, then divide long sentences into clearer units.
