Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern era, individuals are seen movies and dramas by using the internet, on their homes at any time. Many people argue that theatres and cinemas are not important for the entertainment as individuals can see on online, while others believe that these are still important for economically and culturally developments. I will discuss both views and give my own opinion.
On the one hand, people can enjoy all the entertainments at home by using the internet. They can safe transport cost and manage your time effectively, without wasting. They can also save cinemas and theatres ticket costs. In addition, people can watch their favourite dramas and movies at any time and anywhere by using the social media platform. Therefore, they can save lot of money and time with the opportuinity of online availability.
On the other hand, some argue that these are crucial for economically and culturally developments. It is beneficial for individuals because they have the opportunity to see the live moments and enjoy these moments with their friends. Furthermore, poeple also encourage the actors and artists who work in theatres. Consequently, they can earn more money as related to their field and its increase the growth of economic.
From my perspective, go to cinemas and theatres is beneficial for people because they meet with new culture and have the oppurtunity to go outside from their comfort zone. Its also beneficial for economically because the artists and actors meet people in live concert and make more money.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a personal preference, especially when you say that attending theatres and cinemas helps people encounter new cultures and supports artists. The discussion is relevant, but the ideas are only partly developed. The benefits of online viewing focus mainly on saving money and time, while the economic and cultural importance of venues is asserted rather than explained in detail. For example, “they can earn more money” does not show how venues contribute more broadly to the economy, and the cultural point could be supported with a specific example. Your position is also not fully consistent: you favour attending venues, but the conclusion says they are “not essential” without clarifying how this relates to your view. Develop and reconcile these points more clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of discussion easy to follow. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with several points joined by “also” or “therefore” rather than showing a precise relationship. Some references are unclear, particularly “these” in the second body paragraph, which could refer to theatres and cinemas or to cultural and economic developments. The conclusion also ends abruptly and does not clearly resolve the contrast between your opinion and the claim that venues are not essential. Use clearer referencing and make the final paragraph complete and consistent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “entertainment,” “social media platform,” “actors,” “artists,” and “economic growth.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural. Examples include “safe transport cost” for saving travel costs, “see on online,” and “important for economically and culturally developments.” There are also spelling errors such as “opportuinity,” “poeple,” and “oppurtunity.” Repetition of “important,” “beneficial,” and “money” limits precision. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for discussing cultural value, employment, and access to entertainment, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use subordinate clauses, as in “because individuals can see on online,” and “because they meet with new culture.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. For example, “individuals are seen movies” needs a correct verb construction, while “They can safe transport cost and manage your time” has problems with verb form, number, and pronoun consistency. Other examples include “go to cinemas and theatres is beneficial” and “its increase the growth,” where subject–verb agreement and sentence structure are faulty. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add complex clauses while checking verb forms, articles, plurals, and agreement.
