Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 146 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you introduce both views and state your opinion, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting examples or depth. The conclusion is missing entirely, and the discussion of the second viewpoint is cut off abruptly. To improve, you must expand on your points with specific examples and ensure you provide a full, balanced discussion followed by a clear conclusion to meet the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' to signal structure. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is present but the second paragraph is unfinished, which disrupts the logical flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the lack of a concluding paragraph makes the overall organization feel fragmented. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that you complete your arguments before moving to a summary.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You use basic terms like 'watch', 'online', and 'entertainment' repeatedly. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'significant on economically' (should be 'economically significant') and 'a lots of online channel' (should be 'a lot of online channels'). The range is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'cinematic experience', 'accessibility', 'cultural heritage', or 'convenience'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('in online', 'at home'), subject-verb agreement issues ('platform have changed'), and punctuation errors. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. For example, 'peaple want to watch online platform because they watch at home, no heavy sound ,comfortable' is grammatically fragmented and lacks proper structure. Focusing on basic sentence construction, correct verb tenses, and proofreading for missing articles will help improve your accuracy.
