Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, internet make everything more convenient and flexible. Some people say in the digital era, theaters and cinemas are no longer important we have to watch it online. On the other side, people believe this cinemas and theaters are more important for both economically and culturally. I agree with both point of view because they have their advantages or disadvantages. Discuss both point of view ahead.
On the one hand, this is a more simple in fast digital age to watch movies and series online on internet instead of theaters and cinemas. It is a good idea because it saves our significant money and time. Moreover, you can see movie in mobile what you are go to see in cinemas and it save your tickets price and save time for travelling. In additional, it has a many advantages for personally and environmentally because theater generator burns a lot of fuel for screaming movies and if you are not going you save your money and spend it on others items.
On the other hand, people believe we should have to go to watch movies in cinemas and theater because it is important for our economically and culturally. I strongly agree with this, because if we go to watch movies in cinemas and travel, than we pay money for tickets and fuel. Than government receive tax, than they spend money for making roads, college, health care, culture and things beneficial for us. So it make our life very easy and flexible for lives.
Overall, after considering both point i say we should have to go and watch movies but not all types of but which related to our culture and comedy and our hobby. Also, we have to use internet to watch some old movies which have no show on cinemas.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding economic benefits is quite simplistic, focusing primarily on tax revenue without exploring broader cultural or economic impacts. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and specific examples, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band. The conclusion is a bit disjointed, suggesting a compromise rather than a firm stance, which slightly weakens the overall task response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'In additional' and 'Than government' are used incorrectly to link ideas. Furthermore, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is somewhat abrupt. While there is an overall progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive nature of the sentence structures make the flow feel somewhat stilted. Improving the variety of transition signals would significantly enhance the coherence of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher score. There is a reliance on basic, repetitive words such as 'important', 'good', and 'money'. Some word choices are unnatural or incorrect, such as 'theater generator burns a lot of fuel for screaming movies' (likely meaning 'streaming') and 'it make our life very easy'. There is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic language. To improve, the student should focus on using more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'digital infrastructure', 'cultural heritage', or 'economic stimulus'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('internet make', 'it make'), article usage ('in fast digital age'), and incorrect prepositional phrases. There are also persistent errors with verb tenses and word forms, such as 'if you are not going you save your money'. While the meaning is generally clear, these frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and indicate a lack of control over complex structures. More attention to basic grammar rules is needed.
