Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, a considerable number of people believe that theatres and cinemas will not play longer role as an part of an entertainment for people while other maintain that they are still important. In this essay before reaching to logical conclusion I will discuss both views and accordingly I will give my opinion.
To begin with, in the current era of rapid innovation and advancement of technologies there are numerous online platefroms are available such as Netflix, Amazone prime and hotstar which offers very convenient platefrom to watch movies and serieses online. However, it comes with few charges known as monthly subscription which is affordable and is equal to prize of only one ticket. Furthermore, the account that having subscription can be shared, Means with just one subscription four to five individuals can access the plateform and enjoye watching their favourite movies from anywhere and anytime.
On the other hand, many people argue that cinemas and theatres are still sacrosanct as they play vital role in economy and culture. In the current era of people being isolated these are the places which brings community together on special occasions. They provide reasons to individuals to spent time with their family. Moreover, these types of venues keeps the traditional culture alive and offers wide range of jobs to local people of area as management of such venue requires several professionals to look after the customers and to ensure that the customers are happy with the services.
To conclude, Although the Over-the-top plateforms are cost effective and can be shared with friends and family, the conventional method of enjoying movie in cinemas and theatres should be kept alive. In my opinion theatres and cinemas are still sacrosanct as they provide a considerable number of jobs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The essay addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the convenience of streaming services versus the social and economic benefits of physical venues. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the economic argument is mentioned but not fully explored with specific examples or deeper analysis. The position is consistent throughout, but the conclusion could be more robust to better reflect the arguments presented in the body paragraphs. Overall, it meets the requirements for a Band 6.0 as the main features are covered, though some points remain under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'However', 'Furthermore', and 'On the other hand', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, though some phrasing, such as 'the account that having subscription', is slightly awkward, which occasionally affects the clarity of the logical progression. The paragraphing is appropriate and contributes to the overall coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task. You use some good topic-specific terms like 'rapid innovation', 'subscription', and 'sacrosanct'. However, there are several spelling errors ('platefrom', 'serieses', 'enjoye', 'Amazone') and word choice issues ('play longer role', 'prize of only one ticket'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on accurate spelling and more precise collocations. The use of 'sacrosanct' is a strong attempt at higher-level vocabulary, though it is used slightly repetitively in the conclusion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('there are numerous online platefroms are available', 'these types of venues keeps') and article usage errors ('as an part of an entertainment'). Punctuation is generally functional, but some sentences are slightly clunky due to these grammatical slips. You demonstrate an attempt to use complex structures, but the control over them is inconsistent. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and article usage will help improve your accuracy significantly.
