Student answer (Band 6.0)

well, few individuals think that digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as they can watch all the source online whereas some people refuse that old sources of enjoyment are still important economically as well as culturally. I will elaborate both sides in the subsequent paragraphs.

Firstly, as we all know that it is a modern era we can access everything in a single click with the help of internet and technology. many people are introvert and the lack desire of creating memories with other, such people favours to watch movies online rather than visiting cinemas. Secondly, online mode is quite cheaper than the other one as one can acquire everything by purchasing membership of any platform at the first. Not only this the ticket of one show is even higher than the one-month subscription of any channel.

ON the contrary side, watching moving by visiting theatres, strengthen your relationship as you will create a lot of memories with your loved ones . Adding further, few people wants to explore new thing , visiting such places provide them a real life experience.

well, in my opinion both sides have its own pros and cons. But I believe that watching through online platform Is much convenient than the other as it is time saving as ell as money saving method.

To conclude that, both sources of entertainment have its ow importance as one save money and time while other strengths your relationship, bonds and memories with your loved ones.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is quite limited. For instance, the argument regarding the economic and cultural importance of cinemas is mentioned but lacks specific examples or depth. The points made about online platforms are repetitive, and the essay lacks the necessary detail to fully explore the implications of the digital age on these industries. To reach a higher band, you should provide more substantial evidence or real-world examples to support your claims rather than relying on general statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'ON the contrary side' and 'Adding further'. The transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, and the logical progression within paragraphs is weak. For example, the jump from discussing introverts to the cost of online subscriptions is disjointed. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the flow and coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'lack desire of creating memories' and 'watching moving'. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'acquire everything by purchasing membership'. To improve, you should focus on learning more sophisticated synonyms and practicing common collocations related to technology and entertainment to express your ideas more naturally and precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('both sides have its own pros', 'one save money'), incorrect article usage, and punctuation errors. Some sentences are poorly constructed, which occasionally hinders the clarity of your message. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency will be beneficial.
