Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is ongoing debate in todays world is, whether theatres and cineplex are not crucial for longer periods as people can watch all movies and series at home by help of online content or it is require for several reasone for both cultur and economy. In this essay, I will discuss both perspectives before representing my personal stand-point.

To commence with the first notion, in the modern era people are more willing to opt watching entertainment at home rather then theatres as well as cineplex. In simple words, people san enjoy their entertainmet at online platforme as it is more convenients and more comfertable and the bigest benefits is they can watch anything at anytime, anywhere.

On the other hand, these are pivotal for both economically and cuturally as it is provide job opportunites to work in theaters and cinemas as well as the people are investing on them therefore, it is bring many positive aspects.

After having discussed both approaches, I personally infair that cinmemas are more crucial instead of watching online show. To justify, as per a survey, 80% of youngsters are sastisfied and they always prefer to watch out rather then at home as it provide a best sound and screen experience alog with it is better way to spend time with their near and dear ones.

In conclusion, although, there are no need of cinemas and theaters as people watch by their own while using online applications, I personally feel that it is more important for revenue and traditional experience.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both perspectives and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding the economic and cultural importance of cinemas are mentioned but remain superficial, lacking specific examples or detailed reasoning. The personal opinion is clear, but the supporting evidence—such as the reference to a 'survey'—is vague and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more concrete examples or logical explanations, ensuring that each paragraph contributes significantly to the overall argument rather than just stating general observations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is a basic attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the logical progression within paragraphs is occasionally hindered by grammatical errors. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the discussion of the two views and your own opinion could be smoother. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help create a more natural and sophisticated flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'cineplex', 'reasone', 'cultur', 'sastisfied', 'alog') and word choice issues (e.g., 'infair' instead of 'infer', 'watch out' instead of 'go to the cinema'). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'revenue' and 'traditional experience', the overall range is limited and repetitive. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring accurate spelling of key terms related to the topic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'it is provide', 'it is bring'), incorrect word forms, and awkward phrasing that occasionally makes the meaning difficult to grasp. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be distracting. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and article usage.
