Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, some individuals believe that in digital age, theatres as well as cinemas are not vital because people watch all the entertainment programmes they want online. Other argue that theatres and cinemas are still crucial for both economial and culture level. This essay will discuss both the perspectives before presenting my own opinion.
To begin with, online streaming can saves time as well as cost. To elaborate it, people do not need to buy tickets and pay extra taxes because they can enjoy a favourite show or programme by electronic devices. Also, folks do not suffer by travel to th theatres and cinemas, they can watch with their family. For example, netflix, jio hotstar and desire movies etcetera. These kind of plateforms provide higher quaility and convenient access. Therefore, they get same experience just like theatres and cinemas.
However, other argue that theatres and cinemas people are not able to feel the movie because the sound quality as well as big screen gives more realastic experience. For instance, individuals pay few charge to government as a form of tax. As a result, they can improve the economy of the particular nation.
In my opinion, i believe that watching movies or shows by online would be aid to people as a financial support as well as time management. Moreover, people have several options about choosing movies as compare to theatres and cinemas provide only dedicated shows.
To conclude, some people think that online platforms are more convenent than going to the theatres and cinemas, while other believe that it is important because people pay taxes to authorities so it may be boost country economy. My opinion is electronic streaming saves individuals time and cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the argument regarding the economic importance of cinemas is underdeveloped; it mentions taxes but does not explain how this impacts the broader economy effectively. The points made about online streaming are relevant but rely on simple examples like 'netflix' and 'jio hotstar'. To reach a higher band, the arguments need more depth and logical extension rather than just listing benefits. The position is consistent, but the supporting evidence lacks the necessary sophistication for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'However', and 'To conclude'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'To elaborate it' or 'These kind of plateforms'. Additionally, the flow between sentences is occasionally disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition between the benefits of streaming and the examples provided feels abrupt. Paragraphing is present, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved to ensure a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several spelling errors, such as 'economial', 'culture level' (should be 'cultural level'), 'th theatres', 'quaility', 'plateforms', and 'convenent'. The student relies on basic vocabulary and occasionally uses words incorrectly, such as 'folks' (too informal for an academic essay) and 'few charge'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the frequency of spelling errors limit the score. To improve, the student should focus on using more academic collocations and proofreading for common spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'online streaming can saves time' (subject-verb agreement), 'other argue' (should be 'others'), 'suffer by travel' (preposition error), and 'as compare to' (should be 'compared to'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas and incorrect capitalization of 'i'. While the errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. The student needs to focus on subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and ensuring that complex sentence structures are grammatically sound.
