Student answer (Band 5.0)
In present age some individuals think that there is no need of theatres and cinemas in this passage of time ,but some others say that theatres and cinemas are still important to watch movies and enjoy there weekends.
In my opinion, everything has its advantages and disadvantages. As the present age is the age of science and mobile phone ,laptops and computers etc are these inventions of science. And the biggest invention of modern technology is internet. Internet is available on every mobile smart phone and other devices of this kind. Many plate forms like movie box ,Netflix,YouTube,Facebook and others apps of this kind has facility to play movies and other series.Main advantage of these devices is that, people can watch movies at any time,if they are busy in there daily work, they can easily watch there favourite movies at these devices, when they are free time.Another best thing of these inventions is that all these devices are easy to carry.People can take these instruments with themselves in there offices and such places where they actuly work. There is no time limit for watching movies and other web series on such inventions. We can use them for our entertainment at any place and at any time.
At other hand, for some citizens cinemas and theatres are much important for watching movies and get entertainment. Watching films in theatres and cinemas is another kind of joy.It is a part of our culture and tradition. From economical point of view, cinemas and film boxes are source of incomes.people can watch movies in theatres and cinemas when they have free time. They go to the cinema hall and watch movies. Most of citizens watch films at weekend. They visited cinema with there families and friends.
In conclusion, both views of people is correct.Watching movies in theatres is source of joy for peoples and way to earn money for owners.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, though the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention the convenience of digital platforms and the cultural/economic importance of cinemas, the ideas lack depth and specific examples. For instance, you mention 'economical point of view' but do not explain how cinemas contribute to the economy (e.g., job creation or local tourism). To improve, ensure that each point is supported with a clear explanation or a concrete example. Your position is stated in the introduction and conclusion, but it could be more clearly integrated throughout the body paragraphs to ensure a more cohesive argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is sometimes hindered by repetitive phrasing and simple transitions. You use basic connectors like 'At other hand' and 'In conclusion', but the flow between sentences is often mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'these inventions of science', which feels slightly disconnected from the previous sentence. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'nevertheless') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'important', and 'inventions'. There are also some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'plate forms' (platforms) and 'film boxes' (likely referring to cinemas or streaming services). To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to technology and the entertainment industry, such as 'digital streaming services', 'cinematic experience', or 'cultural heritage'. Additionally, ensure you are using words in their correct context to avoid confusion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'both views of people is correct'), incorrect use of articles, and punctuation errors (e.g., spacing issues after commas). There are also frequent spelling errors, such as 'there' instead of 'their' and 'actuly' instead of 'actually'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring correct usage of homophones like 'their', 'there', and 'they're'.
