Some people believe that in this digital age, theaters and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the enternatinment they want online. Other argue that theaters and cinemas are still improtant both economically and culturally.

Technology has been much more advance as it was ever before. Now everyone using digital devices in their daily life for entertainment and other purposes. People have large screens in their home and can watch dramas and movies at home. In early age people were only watching movies at cinema and theaters. Now people have different platforms to wathc movies like Netflix and Primevideo. People have large screens in their home to watch content in higher resolution. Most of the audience is shifted from cinemas to online platforms.

Some people still want to go to watch movies in cinemas and theaters in this age and they enjoy watching movies on big screens with a lot of people. They believe it gives them amazing experience and they can't enjoy much wathcing movies online at their home. Actually going to cinema and wathing newly released movie is an amazing and most beautiful experience which we can't have wathcing movie at our home. Also some old school people only go to cinema for wathcing movies and they don't like to watch online.

According to my experience I went to cinemas when I was younger with my parents and siblings. Now days I watch movie at home on Netflix and don't have enough time to go to cinema but I still believe cinema was the great experience of my life and we should go there sometime to enjoy together.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding the economic and cultural importance of cinemas are mentioned in the introduction but are not explored in the body paragraphs. Instead, the essay focuses primarily on personal preference and the convenience of home viewing. To achieve a higher band, you need to provide specific examples or logical reasoning regarding the economic impact (e.g., job creation, local business support) and cultural significance (e.g., social cohesion, the communal experience of art) of cinemas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the second and third paragraphs. The use of cohesive devices is quite basic and mechanical (e.g., 'Now', 'Also', 'Actually'). There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas between sentences and paragraphs, which makes the flow feel a bit disjointed. Improving the use of transition signals would help create a more logical and cohesive argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There are several spelling errors, such as 'enternatinment', 'improtant', 'wathc', and 'wathcing', which occur frequently. The word choice is often simplistic, relying on common terms like 'amazing' and 'beautiful' to describe experiences. To improve, you should aim to use more precise, academic vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'cinematic experience', 'technological advancement', or 'socio-economic contribution', and ensure careful proofreading to eliminate spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'Technology has been much more advance as it was ever before' (incorrect comparative structure) and 'Now everyone using digital devices' (missing verb 'is'). There are also issues with article usage and verb tense consistency. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex structures.
